Have you heard of the art of the “Bodger”, many hundreds of years ago, like other items produced, chairs were made with incredible skills, the durability, strengths and materials were responsible for their longevity.

What appears to be simple is actually quite complex, often “blind” wedged mortise and tenons, though wedged, shouldered, cylindrical mortise and tenons, incredibly strong and simple!

Watch, listen to Stan talk about joinery technology whilst sitting on a traditional “shaving” horse, using a razor sharp “draw” knife..

Stan has been described as a consummate showman, definitely has much life earned woodworking/ timber experience to share!

This workshop will be demonstrating all day bar lunch.

This years collaboration project at ShedFest will be a huge painting on our roller door, supported by our amazing Painting Crew! This is a special artwork that was gifted to us by amazing local artist .whittle.artist and we are so excited to transform it into our entry way!
