Pharmacists across WA have told me how alarmed they are about the Albanese Government's 60-day dispensing policy. They are concerned about the viability of their pharmacies, the impact on already scarce medication and on patient's health.

They have also expressed their deep apprehension over the lack of consultation in developing this policy. I encourage all Western Australians to chat with your local pharmacist to find out more.

Australia’s healthcare system is already under pressure.
60-day dispensing might sound like a good idea but with already over 400 PBS medicines in shortage, this will make the situation much worse.
Another inevitable outcome will be a cut to patient care and pharmacy services 😢

Very well said by our colleague Paul at Amcal Community Pharmacy Como. The proposed 60day dispensing change is unthought out and harmful.
We too receive bucket loads of wasted unused medications and fight daily supply issues for all types of medications.
