This comes up all the time.
There is no NDIS requirement for 2-hour shifts or minimum bookings.
You bill for the time actually delivered. If a support worker provides 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or 90 minutes of support, the NDIS position is simple: you bill for the time actually delivered.
The confusion comes from the SCHADS Award, which applies to employees, not participants.
That award includes minimum engagement periods to protect workers, but itโs an employment issue, not an NDIS rule.
Independent support workers are not employees, so SCHADS minimums donโt apply to them either.
If a independent worker has a minimum charge, thatโs a business policy, not an NDIS requirement.
