This is a work in progress, using a method I worked out on a friend's hair years ago, and now use semi-regularly in the salon!
This is a method of separating dreadlocks over time, without causing any damage to their structural integrity. Instead of snipping hairs, we simply redirect them over the course of two sessions.
It can sometimes be done in one session, as could have been the case for this client. However, the extension does not hold as well on the newly-formed and short dreadlock. This way, it is nicely established with plenty of length before the extension goes on, meaning that it will fasten securely and hold really well π₯°
Classes are currently available via Zoom or face-to-face.
Full courses, all the way from entry-level through to master classes, will be available in 2026.
