What a fantastic weekend MBFAV Inc has had — we are really on the pulse!

It kicked off Friday night at Pine Rivers BMX where Paul, Gill, Karina and Lachlan attended ready to handle any bumps and keep things wheelie safe!

On Saturday, Mark, Heiner, Isaac and Nia headed to Woodford for the Woodford Street Festival and Lantern Parade — lighting up the night and keeping the community glowing.

This morning, choo choo choosing fun, Heiner and Paula attended Bracken Ridge Lions Trains Day. 🚂

And tonight, Will and John are at Caboolture Christmas Carols, making sure everyone stays fa-la-la-la fine and spreading first-aid cheer wherever it’s needed.

Moreton Bay First Aid Volunteers Inc. established a new partnership with a group of dedicated mothers from Living Faith Lutheran Primary School, launching 'The Faith Aid Crew' this year.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this outstanding cause, although there are too many donors to mention individually 🫶

Our joint efforts yielded remarkable results, with a total of 41 bags packed, consisting of 2 Teen bags, 23 Adult Bags, and 16 Mum and Bub bags!

PHENOMENAL EFFORT!

The 'it's in the bag' campaign still has drop-off points available at every Bunnings store until this Sunday! 👏🏻👏🏻

🌸 The Faith Aid Crew Need Your Help! 🌸

On Tuesday, a group of us came together — many meeting for the very first time — for our inaugural “It’s in the Bag” Christmas Appeal supporting Share the Dignity.

Our goal was simple: to pack 20 bags for women doing it tough this Christmas — those escaping domestic violence or experiencing homelessness. We aimed for 10 Mum & Bub Bags and 10 Standard Essential Women’s Bags.

💖 But thanks to everyone’s generosity, we ended up with 44 bags! 💖

Now we just need a little more help to finish them off — we’re short of 10 shampoos and 10 conditioners.

Once we have these, every single bag will be complete and ready to bring comfort and dignity to women in need.

If you’re able to donate, please send us a message — every little bit truly makes a difference.

Let’s show that kindness and community spirit are alive and well this Christmas 🎄💝

🌺 Remembrance Day

As one of our members aptly put, “Always an honour to assist at these events in recognition of the sacrifice our service men and women made and continue to make to keep the world a safer, better place”

Thank you to Alphege and Heiner for attending a ceremony at Beachmere and to Carrie-Anne and Alex for attending Redcliffe.

Thank you to the Redcliffe RSL for such a generous donation, which will go to new equipment and the training needs of our volunteers. Thank you so much for your support to help us give back to our community.

Mark, Corinne and Alphege at the All Abilities Colour Run at Decker Park, Sandgate!

We spent some time with QPS… but don’t worry, we were released for good behaviour. Turns out “carrying bandages with intent to help” isn’t a chargeable offence.

The officers are keeping an eye on the crowd, and we are keeping an eye on anyone who trips, slips, or sprints like they are fleeing a crime scene.

This Christmas, ‘The Faith Aid Crew’ — a group made up of some wonderful Mums from Living Faith Lutheran Primary School and Volunteers from Moreton Bay First Aid Volunteers — are joining forces to support the incredible Share the Dignity “It’s in the Bag” campaign! 💗

The “It’s in the Bag” campaign collects handbags filled with life’s little necessities — like soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, sanitary items, toothbrushes, and a few special treats — to help restore dignity this Christmas for women in need.

If you’d like to donate any items, big or small, please reach out — the Faith Aid Crew is happy to collect! 🙌

MBFAV Inc are one of the lucky groups that Grill’d is supporting this November! 💪🏻

Chermside Grill’d is located at Westfield Shopping Centre on Hamilton Road, Chermside

Go in and enjoy some delicious food 🍔🍟🥤🥗and put your token in our jar!

All funds raised go back to the community by training our volunteers and providing equipment and consumables at the community events we attend.

Our volunteers were ready for tricks, treats, and the occasional trip, and luckily our volunteers were on hand to fix any ‘boo boos’ 👻

We are feeling incredibly grateful. 💙

We are so lucky to have such an amazing group of supporters behind us — from our dedicated volunteers to those who generously give their time and expertise to help us grow stronger together.

This week’s Volunteer Training Night was an absolute highlight! We were honoured to have Dan present a powerful presentation;

“First Aid Under Pressure: Tactical Medicine & Scene Management in High-Stress Situations.”

With years of experience working in incredibly high-pressure environments, Dan delivered practical insights, techniques and stories that will make us more prepared and confident in our ability to respond effectively when it matters most.

The night didn’t stop there — we ran a Multi Casualty Incident (MCI) scenario to put our new knowledge into practice, and finished with Alphege, who shared some excellent self-defense skills with a focus on situational awareness and staying safe.

We are constantly learning and growing — and it’s all possible because of the incredible people around us. Thank you for being part of this journey. 🙏💪
