Confusion is circulating regarding the eligibility of the new Bulk Billing services from November 1st.
Its very simple!
If you have one of these little green beauties.... and the expiry date is current , then you are eligible for ALL BULK BILLING services.
This relates to general consults and not specialist appointments. If you have any questions please contact reception prior to your appointment to confirm.

*** COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT**

As Christmas approaches we will once again this year be doing our donation bins for those in need. All gifts, non perishables etc can be left at the Hub for distribution throughout the community.
Our Secret Santa Elves are very busy in the lead up to Christmas and will be delivering a special hamper to 3 families in extra need of help.
If you know of a local family doing it tough this year, please reach out to us at admin@mbgp.com.au

Share The Dignity
We will ALWAYS be a drop off point for Share The Dignity . At The moment, there is a campaign running for women/girls in need to leave DV situations. If you have a handbag in your wardrobe you are not using, please fill with hygiene and sanitary items and drop off at the Hub. These are collected by a rep from Share The Dignity and will be distributed by them to people escaping Domestic Violence.

We have also registered with Canberra's 106.3 FM as a Collection site for Pack The Bus !! Another huge community support effort. As we are not exactly within the ACT border I am waiting on confirmation on this. Please stay tuned.

Christmas can be a very tough time for some people in our community. Not every home has a smorgasbord lunch or a beautiful Christmas tree surrounded by expensive gifts. Its true, that the real meaning of Christmas is giving and seeing smiles on otherwise unhappy faces. Knowing you have contributed to someones happiness is a wonderful feeling. If you can share a bit of Christmas cheer this year, please reach out .

From November 1st we are excited to announce we are now a Bulk Billing Practice for all eligible patients!
That is for ALL patients who have a Current Medicare Card for all General appointments.

If you have any concerns if your appointment will be Bulk Billed please call us prior to your appointment

**BULK BILLING REMINDER**

Just a reminder on the Bulk Billing Changes from November 1st.

ANYONE, regardless of age, if you have a current Medicare card, you will be Bulk Billed for your GP visit.

General Consults will be Bulk Billed. These are referred as an NRA ( Non Referred Attendance)
Mental Health Care Plans with your GP, or Chronic Condition Care Plans will also be Bulk Billed.
There is a very specific list from Medicare as to what we can and cant Bulk Bill.
These are MEDICARE RULES not OUR rules.

SOME attendances will NOT be bulk billed
Physiotherapy appointments, Dietitian and Specialist appointments will still be PRIVATELY BILLED.

IF you are receiving a vaccine from the Practice, you will be charged for the vaccine but not for the consult to receive it.

The Government can often make things sound very confusing......

For the majority of Patients, nothing will change. The Biggest change will be those patients who DO NOT have a Concession card and are over 16 will now be bulk billed.

**EXCITING NEWS!!**

As of November 1st 2025 our practice will become a fully BULK BILLING CLININC to Eligible Patients .
ALL Patients that hold a CURRENT and UP TO DATE Medicare Card will be Bulk Billed for general items.
Please note this does NOT cover things such as Drivers license, paperwork, Insurance claims etc.
All Patients should ensure their medicare details are correct and up to date prior to making an appointment.
We hope this helps to ensure that everyone can access quality healthcare.
