Wow…the Warrior 2025 Christmas Party was something truly special.

This event wasn’t just about wrapping up the year. It was about recognising the amazing people who make Warriors what it is today.

From our dedicated support staff and wonderful participants to the families, volunteers and community members who work with us every day, thank you. Your heart, your kindness and your belief in what we do is what brings Warrior to life.

A huge thank you to Chris London for entertaining us and bringing so much energy to the night. A big thanks as well to PicBox Photobooth for capturing all the best moments. it's is always a highlight and so much fun.

And a heartfelt thank you to the Muswellbrook RSL Club for hosting us and always providing such a great space. Your support means the world and makes nights like this possible.

Last Friday we received this gorgeous hamper from the beautiful office ladies at Mussy High!

We’re there twice a week delivering their coffees, and their support and kindness make every run worth it.

It’s amazing seeing their smiling faces each week. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.

Thank you so much, ladies you made our day!

We were really saddened to hear that Wybong Hall was lost in a fire. It has been such an important place for the Wybong and Muswellbrook community for so many years.

Wybong Hall also meant a lot to us at Warrior Disability Services, as it was one of the main filming locations for our short film Hatch Day. It had so much charm and history, and we were honoured to be given the privilege to film there for many days. We will always be so thankful to the community for welcoming us and allowing us to use the hall.

Our thoughts are with everyone in the community who has memories tied to the hall. Even though the building is gone, the stories and moments shared there will always remain.

We're beyond proud of three amazing members of the Warrior Disability Services community!

World Kindness Day is held annually on November 13 to highlight kindness, community connection and positive action. It recognises people who make a real difference through compassion and support for others.

This year, Muswellbrook Shire Council recognised six community members and we couldn't be any prouder that three are a part of Warrior Disability Services!

Congratulations to Josh Cooper, Jessica MacDonald and Maddy Dobson, who were recognised for their contributions and ongoing commitment to our community.

Josh, Jess and Maddy all give their time and energy to support others, and this acknowledgment is well deserved. We’re lucky to have them as part of our warrior family, and our community is all the better for having them in it.

Big morning for our Warriors crew! 🌱

We harvested fresh produce from the Muswellbrook Sustainability Hub garden, where Hunter Disability Services, Aurora Supports and our Warriors work side by side to grow food for the community.

We also collect used coffee grounds and food scraps from Double Picc for composting, which turns local waste into rich soil that helps keep our garden thriving.

All that beautiful produce has now been delivered to The Vine Community Church FoodCare community shop in Muswellbrook, helping stock the shelves with fresh food for local families.

We LOVE working together with local businesses and community groups to support Muswellbrook families!

🎃 Halloween at Warrior Disability Services! 🎃

What an awesome day we had celebrating Halloween at Warrior Disability Services! Everyone came dressed in amazing costumes and got into the spirit with some fun halloween games, including the crowd favourite, musical cups. 😂

One of the highlights of the day was the premiere of our short film, “Hatch Day,” shown to our team for the very first time! Everyone watching and reacting to the film together for the first time was an electrifying experience. We all enjoyed seeing our hard work paid off.

We'd also like to give a huge thank you to Annette for organising such an great day. We all loved it.

Check out all the fantastic costumes!

🎬 We’re Winners! 🎬

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Warriors Disability Services has won the Best Local Film Award at the Blue Heeler Film Festival! 🏆

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible team behind the film from our dedicated support staff and talented participants, to the volunteers, families, and community members who helped make it happen. Your hard work, creativity, and passion have truly paid off!

A massive congratulations to Rhylie Pereira, our talented writer and director, whose creativity, vision, hard work and leadership brought this project to life. And to Blade Gleeson, our amazing lead actor for his outstanding performance, he truly captured the heart of our story and made us all so proud!

A special thank you to the people from Wybong Hall and the Community Garden for allowing us to film at your great locations. Your generosity helped make this project truly special.

We’d also like to give a huge thank you to Muswellbrook Shire Council for putting on such an amazing event and for being so supportive of Warriors Disability Service and everything we do. Your ongoing encouragement means the world to us and makes a real difference in our community!

We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together. Proof that when you set your mind to something, amazing things can happen! ❤️

Written and directed by Rhylie Pereira, with Josh Moore as Assistant Director, Hatch Day is our second film project following Hidden Colours (2023).

The film follows Bill (played by Blade Gleeson) as he faces an unexpected discovery that reshapes the way he sees the world, where hope and reality begin to blur.
