Sometimes things just come together 🙌
For KMR this year I swapped from the 46 to the 25 as my build just wasnt strong enough. Life happened 🤷♀️
It was a good choice! It ended up being a PB kind of day, I raced hard and fuelled and strategised well.
At the start of a racing journey the strategy is simple, run fast and dont fall over. As you get a bit more experienced you get to play with fuelling, managing pain and discomfort, managing fatuige and effort levels, managing mental state... its like a little rubics cube. Todays rubics cube was a bit tricky, and I had a lot of fun working out how to solve it for the best outcome 🙂
The ground moved quickly under my feet and I felt strong the whole way, then spent at the end (which is what we want on race day 😉 ✅️)
And, I remembered how much I love mountain running! 😍😍
The long ones are cool too but the sharp up and downs are my favourite 😁❤️
Now some time off to let my body absorb that training 🙂
