Introducing our Remedial Massage Therapist Pat 🙌
Available for appointments from Monday 3/11/2025
My name is Pat, and I’m joining Rise & Shine Chiropractic as a Remedial Massage Therapist. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathic Studies) at Southern Cross University, and I have recently gained my Remedial Massage qualifications. This will allow me to work hands-on with clients while I study, increasing my understanding of the body and its complex systems as I complete my Osteopathic education. Understanding human anatomy has always been a passion of mine, and I derive great satisfaction from helping people with musculoskeletal conditions.
I worked as a diesel fitter for 18 years. Going from heavy machinery to physical therapy may seem like a strange transition to some people, but my philosophy is that the human body is just a biological machine, so the two aren’t completely unrelated. My background has given me a unique perspective on the human body, and I understand the interrelatedness of its various muscular systems. I also recognise that the location of pain clients are experiencing may be connected to something different happening in the body. I also understand that by only treating symptoms, we can overlook the root cause of a problem, and the issue is likely to persist.
I live locally with my amazing and patient wife and our two charismatic sons. I am active in my children’s sports and love watching them develop and grow. I, myself, have a background in Rugby League, Rugby Union, cricket, waterskiing, wakeboarding and martial arts. Whenever I get the spare time, which seems to be an ever-decreasing phenomenon at present, I love to do some fishing or free-diving. I absolutely love the water. My children also share this passion, and as they grow older, I hope to nurture and develop their passion for the water.
