Did you know, you need to be putting at least 4 times your body weight through your bones in order to stimulate bone growth!
Exercises such as heel drops, depth drops and drop jumps stimulate bone cells to lay down more bone and become stronger. These exercises offer just a few ways to get the loading required through your bones without being as physically demanding as other options such as skipping!
We know that our bones respond to stress and without constant impact, they weaken! After the age of 40 less bone is replaced which can lead to reduced bone density, these exercises are a great way to tackle this and can easily be added into your routine.
If you have any concerns about whether these are something you should do given your health status, please consult your healthcare provider before you start.
