FOR ADOPTION - Belgium d’Uccle Bantums

These 3 sweet chickens were abandoned at a local park, unable to defend themselves and left to starve to death 😣. Luckily a community member posted about them and with some difficulty I was able to catch them. Two are Roosters and the third may be a hen, it has a smaller tail and crest but they are young so may still be a rooster. They all get along very well so open to options of rehoming them together or separately. If you could offer one or all of these guys a safe home, please send me a message. For pet homes only. They would love a place to call their own as they are only in temporary housing with me. They are quiet and a bit shy but very sweet.

3 little lives saved today ♥️ it happens FAR too often that suspected roosters are dumped in parks or rural areas. They succumb so quickly to predators or starvation it’s so unfair! So when I heard of these 3 little ones dumped today locally I knew I had to try. Chickens are also very hard to catch in open areas. I tried earlier today during daylight for an hour with no luck, but got a gist of where they were hanging out so went back tonight and luckily was able to spot them and climbed a tree to catch them. They are the sweetest little Bantums! I suspect two are roosters but one is possibly a hen, will check them out better tomorrow, but if anyone has room for 3 little rascals let me know, they get along very well :)
And please if you can’t keep roosters message me for ideas on what to do, don’t dump them!

‘Ranger’ is a very interesting mix! He is Mini Dachshund x Border Collie. This little man has just come into care and has the sweetest personality, and absolutely cannot wait to find his new forever home. Could you be his new family?

About him:
🐶 6 months old
🐶 Expected size 8-12Kg (currently 5kg)
🐶 Has been desexed
🐶 Had first two vaccinations
🐶 Microchipped
🐶 Up to date with Flea/Tick/Worming
🐶 Basic training established

Ranger is excellent with children and loves people in general, he is very food motivated and has amazing training potential. He already knows how to sit, wait, walks pretty well on the lead and travels great in the car. He is a little nervous around new Dogs but with some patience warms up to other friendly doggies. He’s also pretty springy so will need a decent fence.

WARNING TO ALL PET OWNERS - Tick season is upon us in full force! Even if you have never seen a tick before in your area, even if your pet is barely outside, it’s not worth the risk, prevention is key!!

Get some tick prevention on your Pet ASAP or risk having to pay thousands or even potentially lose your pet to tick paralysis, it’s not worth it.

Recommendations for Dogs:
Bravecto Spot on (6 monthly) or Bravecto Chews (3 monthly)
OR
Bravecto Quantum annual injection
OR
Nexgard Spectra STRICTLY every 28 days and check weight range is accurate

Recommendations for Cats:
Bravecto Plus spot on every 10 weeks** (it only lasts 10 weeks for ticks, not 3 months)

Snickers is an 18 month old Domestic Short Haired desexed Male. He is seeking a new home due to no fault of his own ♥️ Snickers is a very sweet boy and gets along well with other cats and dogs. From being on deaths door step, to 6 months later a fat happy Horse full of life! The transformation of Simon was an inspiring journey to watch. Horses can endure so much, and this boy fought for his life for a long time before I rescued him. I’m so glad I did though, he lived another 5 amazing years before he went to Rainbow Bridge ♥️

This poor little fellow was dumped in my street a few weeks ago. Rooster dumping has been way more common lately with many cases seen around the area. Dumped roosters die a slow and painful death, either starving or being picked off by predators. There is options for them! If you know of any stray roosters or have some that need rehoming send me a PM I always have ideas to help them. This guy was one of the lucky ones, I caught him with difficulty and found him an amazing home ♥️ There are 3-4 roosters dumped at Morayfield sports ground that i unfortunately can’t catch as they are too deep in the bush and aren’t tame :(
