We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to clean our medical centres located in Narangba.

About the role:

Cleaning medical centres to a high standard
2-3 hours Monday to Friday after 8:00 pm or before 7:00 am

About you:

Reliable, trustworthy, and takes pride in quality work
Experience in cleaning (medical or commercial experience preferred but not essential)
Local applicants strongly encouraged

Narangba Doctors and Narangba Valley Medical Centre will be open as usual from tomorrow. Our online booking system, HotDoc, will also be available from tomorrow morning.

If you had an appointment scheduled for today, you will be able to rebook. Our reception team will contact you tomorrow morning to assist with rebooking, or you may rebook online or by calling the practice directly.

Reverse Fatty Liver Information Morning – Narangba Doctors

Sunday morning Dr Nelum ran a Reverse Fatty Liver Information Morning at Narangba Doctors, and it was incredibly well received with excellent feedback from all who attended.

She covered some key topics, including:
• What fatty liver is and how common it has become.
• Why dietary sugar is the main driver of fatty liver and how it affects the liver.
• The stages of fatty liver disease progression and why it’s important to act early.
• How fatty liver induces insulin resistance and contributes to broader health problems.
• The risks and downsides of non-nutritive sweeteners.
• How much sugar we’re really consuming as a society, especially through soft drinks.
• Practical steps to reverse fatty liver by:
• Eating whole food
• Prioritizing protein (a big “aha” moment for many who realised they weren’t eating enough)
• Choosing low-carb options and embracing healthy fats

She also had an interactive session on reading food labels – a big thank you to nurse Deb for leading that section. This hands-on activity really helped bring the concepts to life.

The session was lively, interactive, and full of great discussion. Thank you to everyone who joined – I hope you left with practical steps to support your journey to better health.
