Our open day at Gemz on Gem was a huge success. A wonderful group of people visited our showroom today to join in celebration, taking the time to get to know each other whilst sharing a vast array of food and beverages.
Crystals have a beautiful way of softening the space between people. When a group gathers around shared intention — whether in a circle, a workshop, or even inside your crystal-filled space at Gemz on Gem — the presence of stones can act as gentle anchors. They give hands something to hold, hearts something to focus on, and emotions somewhere safe to land.
Holding a crystal can feel like holding permission. Permission to slow down. Permission to speak honestly. Permission to feel. The steady weight of something formed over millions of years reminds people they don’t have to rush their stories. That grounding energy often helps nervous energy settle, making it easier for someone to share what they might usually keep guarded.
Crystals also act as symbolic mirrors. When someone chooses a stone, they’re often intuitively drawn to an aspect of themselves — strength, healing, courage, protection. Speaking about why they chose that crystal becomes a softer doorway into speaking about their own life. It shifts the focus from “talk about yourself” to “tell us about what this represents for you,” which feels far less vulnerable and far more natural.
In a group setting, this shared symbolism builds connection. When one person opens up, others recognize parts of themselves in that story. The energy becomes supportive rather than intimidating.
Crystals don’t force openness — they simply create a calm, intentional container where honesty feels safe.
At their heart, crystals help people connect because they encourage presence. And when people are truly present with themselves, they can finally be present with each other.
Thank you so much for today, I thoroughly enjoyed our time together.....we may even do it as a regular event.
