Last post from FYD Nationals, its Troupe Day today!!
Team Tap Troupe masters were our last to compete and we received 1st place for our Vogue routine 😊🩷

I am so very proud of everyone who came to compete, our juniors and seniors really stepped up and did an amazing job at this nationals, they absolutely earnt every point and award they were given and I hope all of our juniors and seniors take the experience of dancing on a national stage and the judges critiques home to continue working on their skills and techniques at SBD. You've all been fantastic ambassadors for our studio and you should all be very proud of what you have achieved here in Adelaide 🩷

Another huge day at FYD Nationals for our SBD Team! Last day of solos, duos and trios, we finshed competing these last night at 10pm with our champ dancer sections, our amazing results:

Ruby, Amy, Sarah and Daisy all competed in champ dancer, with Sarah and Amy making the top 10 in the masters 🩷

Studio Blue Dance – Enrolment Day / Studio Open Day
Come along to our Studio Blue Dance Enrolment and Studio Open Day — a relaxed afternoon to enrol for 2026, tour the studio and see our recent upgrades, meet our teachers, try on uniforms and studio apparel, and ask any questions about classes, timetables, fees, or the best options for your dancer.
We offer classes for all ages, from Tiny Tots through to adults in both Narooma and Bermagui.

Huge first day of competition for Studio Blue Dance seniors at FYD Nationals today!!!

Today's comp ran for 13 hours, with all of us running between floors with quick changes for some of us, huge numbers of competitors in each section (even in the masters!), what a day!!

I love being able to bring our small team to nationals in Adelaide each year (this is my 4th one!) and I'm so proud of all of our competitors today, this is a huge competition at a national level, with every SBD entrant getting over 85 across every routine 😊 Even a score of 89 at nationals can earn you a HM, the standard is so high, so everyone should be so proud of their achievements today 🩷

Our juniors had an amazing first day of competition at nationals!!

Demi was thrilled with a 3rd place in classical ballet, and received HMs for her jazz, musical theatre and lyrical, Kai received HMs for his contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop and open sections, Auska also received HMs for her musical theatre and open, and is still to compete in hip hop this morning 💙

✨️FYD Nationals competition begins today, with workshops for our juniors and competition starting tomorrow, and Thursday for our seniors and ladies tap troupe. Four years ago we had one entry into this competition, we are so proud that this week Studio Blue Dance has 39 entries and 4 champ dancer competitors!!
Wishing our students the best of luck in Adelaide, starting with Auska, Kai and Demi on the juniors stage from tomorrow! 💙✨️

✨ Happy New Year, Studio Blue Dance family! ✨
We’re so excited to welcome a new year at Studio Blue Dance and to share what we’ve been working on over the break 💙
Our Narooma studio has been having a little bit of a facelift, adding tarkett vinyl flooring into the larger studio, a refreshed colour scheme, and an updated waiting area to create a comfortable, welcoming space for dancers and families.
Our teaching team has also been busy preparing brand new routines, planning exciting classes, and getting ready for a fantastic year ahead. We’re putting the final touches on our new Studio Blue Dance website, launching soon to make enrolments and finding information easier than ever.
This year we’re excited to offer new classes for our dancers, including adults hip hop, expanding our Bermagui program with Monday Hip Hop and Acro classes, and we will be starting the Glenn Wood tap syllabus for all ages.

• Enrolment Day: 21 January at Studio Blue Dance Narooma (afternoon/evening) and
Online enrolments open
• Competition Troupe Day: 22 January
• Troupe Timetable Begins: 27 and 29 January (afternoon/evening classes)
• Regular Classes for all students commence: 2 February

While we’d love to see everyone at Enrolment Day, we understand not all families can attend — online enrolments will also be available.
