~ 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 ~

I think this picture says it all...

We worry we aren't doing enough or too much.

We wonder if we are doing the right thing.

We blame ourselves for our child's behaviour and struggles.

We fear we are making things worse.

We fear we have 'messed them up' or our own sh*t is affecting them.

And things get even more painful when we realise we could have done things differently or better.

You see, no matter how hard we try, we are never going to get it completely right.

No one has ever mastered parenting.

We all make mistakes, struggle, worry, doubt, but in the end all that matters is that we are trying and doing our best.

But, even when we know this, the dark cloud of guilt fills our mind and body, preventing us from enjoying time with our children and enjoying life in general.

The way through it all is an act of acceptance, self-forgiveness and a willingness to move forward despite these feelings and create a life that is in alignment with your highest values.

Taking a good look at self-limiting beliefs can be quite helpful here too (there's a method to this, reach out if you need a hand).

🎓 Graduation + Gratitude time!! 🥰

One thing I've learnt is that we really can't do anything great, alone.

Just to do this one degree, there had to be family to support me ( Tim Oakley 😊 & the boys), extended family (Mum + Lucinda Richards ), many, many volunteers for the role-plays (too many to mention, thank you all!), CUC and the beautiful ladies there, Ben Gleeson for allowing me to pick his psychology brain, and of course Jaspreet Singh for his continual wisdom, guidance, and encouragement.

I am forever grateful, thank you all!!

I absolutely LOVE this! There are a few different techniques for tapping, but this just melts my heart ❤️

It really does work (science is even on board) and has been a huge part of my own healing journey.

With clients we focus first on digging out the dirt (the worries, fears, etc) then put this good stuff back in like this!

🍂 Guided Mindfulness Meditation- Leaves on a Stream 🍂

Bring a sense of peace to your mind and body as you learn how to become the observer of your thoughts and emotions.

When we create distance from them, they aren't as overwhelming and we can see clearly 🔍 gaining a more peaceful perspective of what is happening 😇

💁‍♀️𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵👇

First of all we must clarify the difference between low self-esteem and low self-worth...

🩷 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺 has more to do with lack of confidence, lack of belief in oneself, and feeling inadequate, feeling like they lack the skills, knowledge, or even 'looks' to achieve something.

They may:

• Avoid people, places or situations so as not to look 'silly' or embarass themselves.
• Avoid trying new things for fear of failure.
• Not believe in their current abilities.
• Put themselves down for the way they look (body image).
• Often say "I can't" or "I'm not pretty enough/good enough" etc.
• Be scared of making mistakes.
• Compare themselves to others.
• Have difficulty making decisions.

🩷 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 ️involves a deep rooted belief that one is not good enough, and/or does not deserve to be happy or enjoy life. Usually tied up with guilt.

They may:

• Have negative self-talk such as "I am not worthy" or "I don't deserve to be happy".
• Self-harm.
• Feel guilty internally about something.
• Have experienced abuse.
• Allow themselves to get sick, look untidy, not take care of themselves.
• Feel unloved or unable to be loved.
• Feel undeserving of success or joy.
• Have suicidal thoughts.
• Become depressed.

🌸 Before you panic (as a Mum, I know your fear) please remember there is help and that self-worth, self-belief and self-love are very much possible 😉

Sometimes we just need a hand to learn how.

I am currently taking bookings, working with teens and women to help them make peace with themselves, to love themselves, to heal, and to grow 🩷

✨️ 📢 Seeking 3 x women/teen girls to work with (3 x free counselling sessions each) who may be struggling with at least one of the below:

🌸 R U Ok?

If we make talking about things 'normal' and stop hiding what's really going on, a few cool things happen:

• We align with who we truly are and what we are experiencing at that moment (no more pretending which relieves SO much pressure) 😌

• We give the other person a chance to help (which also helps them 😉)

• We free ourselves of the internal dialogue 😮‍💨and heaviness

• We open ourselves up to new and amazing possibilities 🤹‍♀️

• We shift the stagnant and stale energy, changing it up for something more productive 🦸‍♀️

• We show others it's okay to talk

• We feel lighter and better within ourselves! 🪶

So by sharing your struggles, even just a little, others may feel comfortable to do the same.

You aren't in this alone, we are in this together 💪🙌

🧘‍♀️People tell me time and time again that they can't meditate, that their mind is too busy, that it's too hard, or funnily enough, that they don't have time...

But what they are really describing and experiencing is their struggle to settle themselves enough to actually meditate.

Nothing bad has ever come from meditation.

Meditation is nothing bar a silence, a peace, a blissful state of nothingness 😇

What you are currently experiencing is the torment of your life, your mind and years of doing, going, being and happening.

Learn to slow things down, sit for even just 1 minute doing nothing.

You will get there, just don't stop, the feeling of true meditation is indescribable 🥰🙏✨️
