If you get bitten by a snake, you can suck the venom out so it has less effect.

🚫 FALSE! 🚫
Trying to suck out venom doesn’t help — and can actually make things worse!

Here’s what you should do instead 👇

✅ Stay calm and keep the person as still as possible
✅ Call 000 immediately
✅ Apply a pressure immobilisation bandage over the bite and along the limb
✅ Keep the limb still using a splint or bandage
🚫 Do NOT wash, cut, or suck the bite
🚫 Do NOT try to catch the snake

🚫 Never give your pet human medication (unless prescribed by your vet)

📦 Store all medicines safely out of reach and out of sight
