Think about it…

When we get angry, our heart races, our blood pressure rises, our peace disappears. Yet the person who triggered it often remains unaffected. We burn, while they may not even notice.

🔥 Anger does not solve problems — it multiplies them.
🔥 Anger does not punish others — it punishes us first.
🔥 Anger clouds judgment, breaks relationships, and steals inner peace.

But when we understand this, something shifts. We realize that choosing peace over anger is choosing freedom over slavery. We can’t always control what others do, but we can always choose how we respond.

💡 Forgiveness doesn’t mean weakness. Patience doesn’t mean surrender. It means you value your own peace more than someone else’s mistakes.

So the next time anger rises, pause and remember:
⚖️ Is this worth sacrificing my peace?

Most often, the answer will be No.

But the Buddha also reminded us to walk wisely. To forgive does not mean to put yourself back into the fire that burned you.
Compassion does not mean blindness. Forgive for your own peace, but do not confuse forgiveness with trust. Trust is earned, not given twice to the same betrayal.
