Over six years officially, but I’ve known BioAg for nearly 20 years. During that time, I met Anton and other team members and even had the privilege of meeting Jep Gates before his passing.

Early in my career, I worked extensively in reproductive technology — including human IVF, bovine and equine breeding, both in laboratories and in the field. I’ve also worked with cattle genetics across dairy and beef systems.

By working closely with farmers — especially long-term customers — I can demonstrate the effectiveness of BioAg products in real-world conditions. As the industry moves toward more sustainable practices, I help farmers transition to better fertiliser and input options, particularly in pasture systems, maintaining production while improving overall farm health.

Barry Knight in the liquids facility. Having built large-scale plants and equipment in the past, I’d enjoy working with our fermentation technology in such a state-of-the-art, PLC-driven environment.

Alan Johnston is a mixed farmer at Naradhan, feedlotting on average 2,500 lambs annually — and he’s been using 𝙍𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚 for more than 20 years.

Amelia (we all call her Millie) joined BioAg in September last year as our Marketing and Communications Manager.

Anton — as I’m newer to the business, I’d spend the day learning as much as possible about the business, its long-term customers and products.

We have a small farm, so between helping my husband on the farm and juggling four kids’ school and sporting commitments, there isn’t a lot of spare time! But I love reading, fishing, painting, and playing netball.

The recent bushfires across Victoria have left many farmers facing the difficult task of rebuilding — not just fences and infrastructure, but the paddocks themselves.

Before agriculture, I spent time on the trading floor — first as a Chalkie at the Melbourne Stock Exchange in the 1980s, then as a stockbroker through the 1987 crash and up until trading moved online in 1990.

𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼-𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸?
A flat white is my go-to, but I usually start the day with an Ice Break iced coffee.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗔𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?
I get to introduce farmers to products they may not have used before — products that deliver real benefits to both productivity and the environment. Years ago, I heard American agronomist Neal Kinsey speak about declining yields despite increasing chemical fertiliser use. It stuck with me, but it wasn’t until I joined BioAg that I truly understood the practical alternatives. Natural phosphorus fertilisers can work alongside modern farming systems to achieve excellent results, and now I’m passionate about helping others see that too.
