Over the coming weeks, we’ll be spotlighting our team — and we’re starting where it all began, 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘯, 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰-𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘈𝘨.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗔𝗴?
BioAg was founded by Jep Gates and myself in 1999. On March 25, 2026, it will be 27 years since we started the business, and I’ve been responsible for its direction and evolution ever since.

I grew up on a 62,000-acre property near Longreach, running Merino sheep and Shorthorn cattle — an experience that shaped my respect for practical, paddock-proven farming systems.

They’ve been grown and packed by Andrew Dalglish from 𝗙𝗼𝘅𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 in Katherine, NT — a seriously impressive operation. Not only do they supply Woolworths with all of their organic mangoes for the east coast, but they also grow out-of-season asparagus for the east coast too.

This season, Andrew budgeted for 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀... but ended up packing a huge 𝟰𝟬𝟰 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 of sweet mango goodness!

What’s his secret? He won’t spill them all 😄 — but he will share that 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗔𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

Despite low rainfall, Colin Falls and team from Dingee, Victoria, delivered a 𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 hay season. His vetch hay came in at 5 tonne per hectare, with standout feed test results:

⚡ 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆: 11 MJ/kg
💪 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻: 20.3%
🌾 𝗡𝗗𝗙: 36.3%
