Parabellum International Training had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic group from West for a day filled with team-building F-U-N.💪😄

The day challenged participants through a range of mental and physical activities, including silent communication, dynamic decision-making, and abseiling — all expertly facilitated by our outstanding trainers, Chris and Josh.

It was incredibly rewarding to see every participant fully commit to the activities with positivity, support, and determination. The teamwork on display throughout the day truly highlighted the value of shared challenges and collective problem-solving.

For our training team, it was also a great opportunity to deliver something different during a very busy December day at our Naval Base facility. A huge thank you to Simon Bell, Linda Dawson and the Defence West team for trusting us to deliver meaningful and engaging team-building experiences.

It was a great day all round — and we absolutely loved having you with us.

🔥 MERC 2025 🔥

What an outstanding few days of competition, community and capability on display. MERC- Mining Emergency Response Competition continues to bring together the very best of emergency response, and this year delivered another exceptional event.

The Gala Awards Dinner was a strong celebration of the all the teams efforts and dedication shown across every discipline, as well as the 190+ volunteers that make MERC possible.

A special congratulations to our two teams we had the privilege of training in the lead-up to MERC:

🏅 BHP – Vertical Rescue Scenario Award Winner

We are extremely proud of the exceptional efforts demonstrated by the teams and our trainers and it’s fantastic to see it recognised.

🔥 A massive Day Two at MERC yesterday 🔥
Yesterday delivered strong performances, tight teamwork and some impressive problem-solving as teams moved through the next round of scenarios. The competition intensity has lifted and it has been great to watch crews step up and support one another across the grounds.

We are onsite again today and would love you to come past the Parabellum stand.

🔥 A huge first day at MERC Mining Emergency Response Competition yesterday 🔥

Day One set a strong tone for the weekend, with teams putting their skills on display across every discipline. The atmosphere was full of energy, teamwork and commitment as the competition got underway.

We are looking forward to the next two days as things ramp up, and we would love to see you at the Parabellum stand.

Training is well underway with our clients hitting the ground running as Mining Emergency Response Competition MERC 2025 fast approaches. 🔥💪

Teams have been putting in the hours across multiple disciplines — from technical rescue and casualty care to rope work, vehicle extrication, and high-pressure scenario drills. The commitment, grit, and teamwork on display has been incredible.

A huge round of applause to all the trainers out there guiding their teams through every challenge and getting them MERC-ready.

This morning, on Remembrance Day, we will pause to honour the men and women who have served our nation, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live with freedom and opportunity.

With many former and current defence personnel within our organisation, this day holds particular meaning. Whether at HQ, on site, or in the field, we will take one minute of silence to reflect on their service, their courage, and the legacy they have left for us all.

We remember them today, and always.
Lest we forget.
