The hospital is a part of Ramsay Health Care Group – Australia’s largest private hospital operator. The hospital employs over 2000 people and has more than 800 accredited specialists working across a wide range of disciplines including cardiology, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, oncology, orthopedics, palliative care, psychiatry, rehabilitation and urology.

On Tuesday we held our annual Remembrance Day service in Hollywood Private Hospital’s reception area to honour the brave men and women who lost their lives serving our country.

We would like to thank all of those involved in the service, which was led by Chaplain Kim Kuchel from RSL WA and attended by Hollywood patients, visitors, volunteers and employees.

As a former military hospital with strong connections to WA’s veteran community, Remembrance Day holds special significance for Hollywood. Each year, this service offers us a moment to pause, reflect and pay tribute to our history and to those who have served with courage and sacrifice.

Today we are celebrating our incredible Orthopaedic nursing team here at Hollywood Private Hospital, the compassionate and skilled professionals who help patients get back on their feet (literally!).

From pre-admission to post-surgery recovery, our orthopaedic nurses provide exceptional care, support and reassurance every step of the way.

To mark the day, our wards are filled with cupcakes and smiles, a small token of appreciation for an extraordinary team. 🧁👏

And excitingly, next month we will be launching our new Orthopaedic Care Navigators service, offering guided support before, during and after joint replacement surgery to help patients feel confident and cared for throughout their recovery.

This week, we proudly celebrated five remarkable years since the establishment of our Cardiothoracic Surgery Service, a milestone that represents teamwork, innovation and countless lives changed for the better.

Since launching in 2020, the service has supported thousands of patients through complex heart and lung surgeries, pre-admission programs and rehabilitation, providing continuous care from diagnosis to recovery. 💪

During , health services across Australia celebrated the important work of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) teams, and we’re proud to share that Hollywood Private Hospital’s CDI team took out the Activity of the Week award.🏆

From custom t-shirts and themed chocolates 🍫 to a “CDI Superheroes” photo booth 📸 and JMO CDI Champion of the Month 🩵, our team went above and beyond to celebrate the value of accurate clinical documentation and the positive impact it has on patient care.
