The days before your period are not something to simply push through. They are asking something of you.
The luteal phase is the progesterone-dominant second half of your cycle. In its early days, energy remains relatively high, and your body is still primed. But as progesterone and oestrogen begin to decline in the week before your period, your body starts to shift inward. Inflammation can rise. Mood may dip. The desire for rest and solitude may become louder.
Declining oestrogen levels at this time can lead to lower mood, lower energy, and a feeling of depletion. Your body is naturally calling you toward rest, nourishment, and quieter connection rather than output and socialising. avivaromm This is not a flaw. It is finely tuned physiological intelligence.
The more inflammation already present in the body, the more pronounced these symptoms tend to be. Reducing processed sugars, refined oils, and inflammatory foods during this phase can make a genuine difference to how you feel. Warming, mineral-rich meals, gentle movement, and true rest are your greatest allies here.
Rest into this affirmation: "I nurture my body with patience and compassion."
