Skills 2 Learn Occupational Therapy is a mobile, community-based therapy provider offering high quality, individualised and evidence-based occupational therapy services for children 0-18 years. Skills 2 Learn is a community based occupational therapy provider offering high quality, individualised and evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and young adults (0-18 years). At Skills 2 Learn Occupational Therapy we appreciate that family life can be busy, so we understand the importance of being flexible with service delivery options. Our therapists can come to see your child in the comfort of their own home, which means that the strategies and advice we give can be easily incorporated into your daily routine using the resources you already have. Skype consults can also be offered for rural and remote families. In addition, we can offer centre-based therapy, conveniently located opposite Garden City Shopping Centre in Ardross. At Skills 2 Learn we can offer assessment and therapy services across many areas, including:
o Early intervention for babies and toddlers
o Feeding difficulties and mealtime routines
o Movement-based difficulties such as developmental coordination disorder (DCD) /dyspraxia
o Handwriting difficulties and literacy issues for school-aged children
o Specific childhood diagnoses including craniofacial syndromes, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism
o Neurological conditions including Rett syndrome, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), Batten disease, mitochondrial syndrome
o Assessment and prescription of positioning equipment including wheelchairs and seating, assistive technology
o Funding and grant applications

We also offer group-based services (when requested) at schools and our centre. Skills 2 Learn Occupational Therapy also runs school holiday therapy groups, when appropriate, in conjunction with Skills 2 Talk Speech Pathology. Private Health fund and Medicare rebates may apply, depending on your level of cover and individual circumstances.
