As we enter the cold and flu season it is recommended that you get vaccinated against the flu.

In WA, the influenza vaccination is free for:
• people 65 years or older
• children aged six months to under five years
• primary school-aged children (aged five and over to students in year six)
• pregnant women
• Aboriginal people six months and older
• patients aged six months and older with medical conditions that place them at risk for complications of influenza, including:
• cardiac disease
• chronic respiratory conditions
• chronic neurological conditions
• impaired immunity
• diabetes and other metabolic disorders
• renal disease
• haematological disorders
• children aged 6 months to 10 years receiving long-term aspirin therapy.

Covid - 19 vaccinations are available at our centre - we are vaccinating currently as described on the Covid Information page on the Department of Health web page - with the Astra Zeneca vaccine and Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine. You will need to arrange an appointment for the vaccine.

The Captain Stirling Medical Centre is open during normal business hours during this Covid 19 Pandemic Crisis.
We hope everyone remains well and stays confident that the social isolation and distancing measures in place are helping West Australians stay safe.
We must support one another through these difficult times. Annual Influenza vaccines are strongly recommended for those with higher health risks.
If you develop flu - like symptoms or may have been in contact with someone who has Covid 19 please call for advice or phone the Coronavirus Information Line.

We are in the last 2 weeks of our Fundraising for the Ladybird Foundation - supporting breast cancer research in Western Australia. We are closing in on or target after completing the Half-Marathon HBF Run for a Reason on the 19th of May. We are so grateful for all the support and are chasing a few more sponsors to get us to our target!
We are still running until the end of the month in between stormy weather to keep our enthusiasm going. Many thanks from Michael and the CSMC team.
