🎄 Today, one of our participants explored 20 real customer service scenarios they might face in their new role at Santa’s Photo Stand!
💬 Some scenarios sparked big moral and judgment calls—showing great understanding of responsibilities, boundaries, and how to stay professional in tricky moments.

👏 Awesome insight and preparation for the Christmas season!

👩‍🍳 This week, one of our participants kicked off a new goal—cooking one new meal each week for their family, starting with spinach and ricotta gnocchi!
They compared recipes, chose the best fit for their family, grabbed all the ingredients, and headed home confident and ready to cook.
📋 During their SLES session, they also caught up on group activities—spotting red flags in employment contracts and exploring the PACT website to compare wages and career pathways.
👏 Good luck with dinner—we can’t wait to hear how it turns out!

👕 Taster Life Skills in Action! ✨
This week, our crew took on a Laundry Taster Session, building practical skills for independence at home.

We broke down the steps, explored laundry products at the supermarket 🧴, and visited the local laundromat for a real-world look at machines, prices, and routines — plus a bonus stop at the car wash to check out those powerful pressure washers 🚗

Next week: putting skills to the test with a hands-on laundry challenge — washing, drying, and ironing like pros! 💪

✨ One of our participants is back on track with their creative journey! 💼
After reflecting on their SLES progress—updating their resume and completing First Aid, RSA, RSG, and Food Safety—they’re ready to dive back into their passion for storytelling. 📖
They’ve already written six chapters of a fantasy novel (with sequel ideas too!) and are now working on setting a writing routine, finding courses, and building confidence with feedback. 🌟
👏 Exciting progress and fresh motivation ahead!

🌟 SLES Group – Week 2 Highlights!

🧾 We kicked off by “signing in” with employee numbers and reviewing our Group Expectations Document.
💼 The team explored workplace expectations, spotted red flag clauses in contracts, and reflected on past job experiences—with plenty of laughs along the way!
🧠💬 We compared types of employment—full-time, part-time, casual, apprenticeships, and traineeships—looking at flexibility, job security, and pay differences.
📊 Using the Fair Work PACT site, everyone researched dream job wages now vs. 10 years into the future!
🏁 To wrap up, we launched our Amazing Race to Independence—downloading the Emergency App and cracking the first clue at Nerang Station using what3words! 🚉📱

👏 Fantastic teamwork, engagement, and learning all round!

💬 One of our participants opened up about their employment goals and challenges, showing great honesty and self-awareness. Together, we reframed setbacks and focused on strengths.
💪 After completing a Strengths Profile Assessment, their top strengths shone through—competitiveness, pride, and unconditionality—with growth areas in self-belief and prevention.
👏 Incredible emotional regulation, persistence, and progress shown today! Next up: growth mindset and self-efficacy activities.
