September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

Spinal cord Injuries is one I hold close to my heart. In the past 6 years i have mainly worked along side people with Spinal cord injuries and everyday continue to learn more about Spinal Cord Injuries.

The severity and location of the injury on the spinal cord determines its impact. The higher the damage, the more severe and deadly it is likely to be.

Hi 👋

Thought I would do a little introduction of myself, Jade, founder of JS Ability Support.

I have been a Support worker for a few companies over the last 6+years working along side clients with Spinal cord injuries, MS, MND, Stroke victims and Lime disease. I felt the need to change the focus and become an independent Support Worker due to the fact I felt there was a lack of respect, empathy and connection with the clients due to overloading workers with other places to be.

I also have worked in the youth work industry for 3 years with children/youth with mental health disorders, Behavioural disorders and global developmental delay and supervised contact.

I pride myself on being a very caring and understanding person and support worker. I put myself in other people shoes and understand that each individual needs a specific care to suit their needs.

I love what I do and I thank my beautiful clients for that.
