🌿 Wrapping Up 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025! 🌿

As we close out 2024, I’m grateful to have supported so many incredible individuals, both on the NDIS and beyond. Whether through capacity building, mentoring, personal development, or guiding clients through key transitions, it’s been a year of growth and connection.

In 2025, I’ll continue offering a range of services designed to empower people of all abilities:

✨ Capacity Building – Developing new skills and enhancing independence.
🌱 Mentoring & Support – Providing guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies for growth.
🏞️ Nature-Based Experiences – Using the natural world to foster resilience and self-awareness.

I’m excited for what’s to come and look forward to supporting even more clients in the year ahead. Here’s to a new year of growth, empowerment, and success!

As we start heading into the school holiday period it is an opportunity to look at what you can provide for the young people around you to support their transition into adulthood.
It is likely that they will undergo some big changes in the 8 weeks away from school and you can be prepared to support this through planning activities for them that allow you to role model appropriate responses, behaviours and learning.
Planning it ahead allows for discussion and involvement by the young person.

Maybe they want to plan it themselves

Ideas could include: Camping trip, bushwalk, a building project, a new skill, write a song, volunteer, help a neighbour, start a small business in your area.

No matter what you choose to do, remember that recognising the achievement (however small it may be) is one of the most important steps.

Good luck, be safe and most importantly have fun

Often we hear from parents expressing despair at how to help support their boys through the transition into the man they want to become.
This is where Journey men Australia has been born to support this transition.

Our focus on the 5 C's (steve biddulf - the new manhood) provides the framework within our retreat space.

The upcoming workshop is to support taking the time to develop and strength relationships with male mentors is such a powerful tool for young men. Connecting more deeply to parents, mentors, their own spirit and the outside world.

Listening and learning about life as an adult. They use innovation and potent ways of learning within an amazing natural space.

We would love for you to join us if you have time to connect, if you have a young man in your life you would like to support his transition reach out! Spots are filling up quickly!

Often when you ask a teenager how they are going, you get a response that is “Good” , “Ok” or maybe even a grunt 😀.
Try putting some agreed expectations on this questions.
Something your excited about, what’s been keeping you busy, something you dislike and what do you need at the moment.

For younger kids try roses and thorns (something good about your day and something that challenged you).

Maintaining communication is so important as our kids start to head along their journey towards adulthood .

Try it out, I’d love to hear your feedback on how it went with the young people in your life?

The time you spend together is creating connection, opening cocommunication lines and sharing in the adventure.
