River's home is inside a lovingly restored 1870s rectory. The timber, the soaring ceilings, the fireplaces - they’re stunning, but they’re not the point. What matters is the feeling.

We’ve shaped a space that’s warm, calm and purposefully created to help every client breathe a little easier the moment they arrive. Environment matters, and we want each person who steps inside to feel supported, never rushed.

Meet Samson, Senior Occupational Therapist at River.

Honours graduate from the University of Newcastle, 2022.
He’s worked across the NDIS, Home Care Packages and occupational rehab, supporting humans of all ages with goals that matter and strategies that actually make sense in the real world.

Samson takes a holistic, client-centred approach - collaborating with families, support networks and multidisciplinary clinicians to remove barriers and build independence that lasts longer than the initial plan did on paper.

Outside of OT life, he keeps it balanced with golf, bodyboarding, gym sessions, beach hangs, hiking, cooking, and adding to his Hotwheels collection when the rare gems roll in.

Meet Chris Barnett, our Clinical Lead and an anchor within our team.

Chris brings over 25 years of experience as a Physiotherapy Clinician, Manager and Leader, and continues to share his knowledge through teaching at the University of Newcastle. His passion lies in guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver care that genuinely changes lives.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys bike riding, golf and time with his family. A fun piece of Chris trivia: he once rode his bike to Sydney and back in a single day - a true testament to his dedication and quiet determination.
