How else do you spend your sunny Sunday arvo?? It was a pleasure to be asked to present at the Sports Level 2 course run the the APA.

It’s amazing to see how well the physios in the room can reason through some odd scenarios that present in Sports physiotherapy. Full credit to them!

It was an honour to have Hannah and Bec from in for a PD inservice. We were able to cover nutrition topics related to sports injuries, such as bone stress, tenons and ligament injuries. The PSP team picked up some key tips re athlete nutrition, and feel empowered to know that the Nutrient nation team are there to help us rehab at the highest level!

Exciting News! is going to join the PSP physio team!

With a special interest in working with strength athletes- powerlifters, strongman and CrossFit athletes, she also has experience with rugby league and NPL coverage.

For those not aware, she’s a national level Strongman athlete herself and is heading overseas to compete in November!

Hamstring 1- Reynolds- straight line sprinting mechanism in the older athlete with a history of hamstring injuries. Looked more disabling at the time, clinically would present worse on assessment. Most likely biceps fem MTJ, therefore slightly more simpler rehab and potentially shorter return

Hamstring 2- Ezra- diving eccentric load with rotation. Reports pain as higher, but able to walk off the field with slightly more ease. Most likely a biceps hamstring tear with tendon involvement- meaning longer more complicated rehab.

Same play, same muscle, two completely different outcomes
