A good day only gets better when there's an ice cream stop involved!

Charlotte recently headed out into the community with Support Worker Ljay and treated herself to a well earned ice cream. A simple outing, a few laughs and some time enjoying the day together.

This is the beauty of one to one support. Time with a familiar Support Worker, getting out into the community and shaping the day around what Charlotte enjoys doing 🍦

Support Worker Claire recently spent the day out with Ethan enjoying the park and soaking up the atmosphere at a local event. Days like this are a great reminder that support isn’t just about routines. It’s about getting out, trying new things and making the most of what’s happening in the community.

Simple moments, shared experiences and a bit of fun along the way. That’s what it’s all about.

Nothing brings a team together like a garage BBQ first thing in the morning!

As construction on our brand new Lambton offices and training rooms enters the final stretch, the team gathered for a classic breakie BBQ in the garage. Just a simple moment to pause together before the next chapter begins.

A small thank you to the people behind the scenes who work tirelessly every day to support our frontline Support Workers and participants.

Sometimes a short break can make a big difference.

Respite, also known as Short Term Accommodation, gives participants the chance to enjoy a change of scenery, new experiences and time with a supportive crew. At the same time, families and carers get the breathing room they deserve, knowing their loved one is safe, supported and having a good time.

From beach days and BBQs to movie nights and relaxed time around the house, every stay is shaped around what works best for the person staying with us.

A few days away. The right support. And a break that works for everyone.

Hayden recently spent some time on respite with Support Worker Ljay and made the most of getting out and about around Newcastle Harbour. A cruisy change of pace, plenty to see along the water and a good chance to enjoy a few days doing something different.

That’s the beauty of Short Term Accommodation. A short stay somewhere safe and welcoming, with the right support on hand and a bit of room to relax, explore and have some fun.

Good company, a change of scenery and a break that works for everyone.

Josh headed down to the water with Support Worker Sav and made the most of it, spending time in the pool, enjoying the fresh air and having a great time together. It’s a simple outing, but moments like this are exactly what community supports are all about.

1:1 Support makes it easier to get out, stay active and make the most of the places and experiences our community has to offer.

Friday funday shenanigans at indoor rock climbing! 🧗

The crew took on indoor rock climbing and let’s just say… there were some serious heights conquered and a whole lot of cheering from the sidelines.

Safe to say this one’s going on the repeat list!

Maggie and Emma were winning the morning with a dip at the Merewether Baths! With all of the beautiful sunshine we've been getting, a cool down at our local ocean baths was much needed! 🏊‍♀️

What does one-to-one support actually look like in real life?

For Jack and Support Worker Claire, it meant starting the day at the hub before heading down near Newcastle Port for some fresh air and a change of scenery. A relaxed pace, good conversation and the freedom to shape the day around what Jack enjoys.

One-to-one support is simple in principle. One Support Worker. One participant. Full attention.

It works best for people who prefer a familiar face, need a steady and predictable approach, or simply thrive with dedicated support rather than group settings.

It’s about comfort. It’s about safety. And most of all, it’s about making everyday life feel easier.

Claire and Ethan had a blast at the beach on their recent 1:1 Support! Ethan has been prioritising his engagement with physical activity, and it's been paying off big time. The two explored the beach for hours, finding a beautiful starfish, enjoying the sunshine and being social.

We're so proud of you for setting a goal and smashing it mate! ⭐️

Charlotte and Support Worker Claire had a awesome time exploring Redhead Bluff! The pair headed down to the beach, where they made secret hideouts and collected shells... Charlotte found a crab too! 🦀

They made a pretty spot with all of the shells for the crab to sit on and watch the ocean, all whilst sharing some big cheeky belly laughs!
