In old Irish tales, 'immram' was to set off in a small round boat across the sea with no particular direction in mind. The purpose of the expedition was simply to see where God would lead them. If we undertake an immram, we give ourselves over to fate… no destination, trusting whatever life might have in store for us.

There’s no map for this particular journey, no fixed path. At certain times in our lives that might be a good and necessary thing because following the paths that others have set for us can be the cause of many problems. Those earlier paths might not reflect who we really feel we are, and although we often feel that something in our life needs to change, we don't always know what that change should look like.

This is a journey in which you simply leave - step out of the door, put one foot in front of the other, and walk. Trust in fate, or the gods, to point you in the right direction.

Surrender to help the Coyote??
I chose the card and immediately divined the oil to support it without reading the key message. I was confused how Surrender would work for the Coyote’s medicine - until I finished reading the message of the card.
And again, you couldn’t make this up. This week, I had a trickster visit during a yoga session - I thought it was Hanuman, but now I’m thinking it was this rascal.

THE ORACLE:
Coyote ~ sacred trickster
The coyote provides detours for growth and understanding by ensuring things don’t go as planned. He brings the energy of divine deception, to set you free from the shackles of that which doesn’t serve you. Sometimes it appears you get everything you want, only to find the coyote brings the opposite of what you hoped for. Although this may seem confusing, the lessons offered are most sacred and for your highest good.
