No more need for RICE, PRICER or POLICE anymore. Just PEACE and LOVE.

The updated their standpoint on the initial and subsequent management of soft tissue injuries back in 2020, now with a much more proactive approach to rehabilitation.

Perhaps all we need to make things better is peace and love, who would’ve thought? 🫶

How to train around your ni**les?

Unfortunately we aren’t always going to feel 100% every day of the year. But that’s okay.

On days we have a ni**le, in pain or dealing with an injury of some kind, we can always modify and adjust accordingly so you still get the most out of your session.

Super proud of for her efforts on the weekend, and officially becoming a track star 🏃🏼‍♀️

Setting out to complete her first ever half marathon at the start of the year, to already completing it by April.

We didn’t have long to get it done but we did and in record speed.

So you think you’ve got a tendinopathy?

Tendinopathies are very common injury, mainly due to the fact they are quite easy to acquire.

Just by doing too much for what they have the capacity for.

However, due to their slow recovery timeframes, they can be annoying to rehab.

There are a few simple things we can look at to improve our hopes at returning as soon as possible.

Zone 2 training, what’s it all about?

Zone 2 is all the rage at the moment and for good reason. There is good evidence supporting the health of mitochondria through doing this type of training. And having healthy mitochondria is key to our overall health.

To complete zone 2 training, just do some form of cardiovascular activity, at a low heart rate (around 60-70% of your max HR) for an extended period of time.
