Holly provides a warm, welcoming space and meets every client’s concerns with compassion and respect. She offers a holistic mind/body approach that is client-centred and considers important environmental and biological factors that may impact psychological well-being.

Her experience has spanned the private, not-for-profit and tertiary sectors with a particular focus on helping people (aged 16 and over) to address anxiety, depression, grief and loss, postnatal depression, trauma and abuse, and life direction and adjustment issues. She is passionate about the relationship between sleep, nutrition and mood- particularly in young people.

She uses techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), schema therapy and relaxation and meditation techniques, but always tailors her approach to the individual client's needs.

Holly has loved growing her private practice on the Surf Coast over the past 5 years and is now excited to be accepting new referrals for young people aged 16-25 years at Banksia Medicine from April 2023.

Holly will continue to see adults over the age of 25 at her practice in Anglesea. For more info, please see her webpage at www.surfcoastpsychology.com

Holly is available at our Torquay clinic.

Skin cancers can appear as new lesions or changes in existing spots. In Australia’s climate, cumulative sun exposure increases risk over time.

Regular skin checks allow structured examination and documentation of any changes.

Those at higher risk include individuals with:

▪️ Fair skin

▪️ History of sunburn

▪️ Family history of melanoma

▪️ Outdoor occupations

If it has been over 12 months since your last skin review, consider booking an appointment today: https://www.banksiamedicalcentre.com.au/contact

Many people feel entirely well in the early stages of type 2 diabetes. Screening helps identify changes before complications develop.

Risk increases with age, family history, elevated blood pressure, cholesterol, and weight-related factors.

A simple blood test can provide clarity and guide next steps if required.

Speak with your GP about whether diabetes screening is appropriate for you: https://www.banksiamedicalcentre.com.au/contact

An annual checkup is not a routine formality. It is an opportunity to assess silent risk factors such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and early metabolic changes.

Many chronic conditions develop gradually without obvious symptoms. A structured review allows early identification and appropriate follow-up.

Preventive care is most effective when it is planned and personalised.

If it has been over 12 months since your last health review, consider booking an appointment to discuss your preventive care plan: https://www.banksiamedicalcentre.com.au/contact
