My journey has consisted of work within private practice, the family violence sector - primary prevention and perpetrator intervention – as well as with youth and adolescents in school and community settings. I have a passion and interest in understanding the complex impacts of social, environmental, situational, and historical factors on the emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal aspects of individual experience. My experience spans working with clients of all ages, assisting them through challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, and addictions, to stress, relationship difficulties, and more. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with neurodiverse individuals across all age groups. I take a person-centred and humanistic therapeutic approach, where individuals are recognised as being experts in their own experience. I integrate elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a primary focus on employing Narrative or Schema Therapy approaches. Outside the professional sphere, I cherish moments spent with my children and family, indulge in reading, and maintain an active lifestyle, including enjoying various sports.
