Having routines for things can help reduce the build-up of stress; there are many factors that can affect your ability to establish or maintain a routine.

This very healthy Red Bellied Black Snake was sunning itself at our front door this week.

Don't ever assume you will always have 2 fang marks if bitten by a snake, sometime its one or a mark or scratch; it can be painless.

IMPORTANT - if you think you have been hit by a snake STAY STILL & IMMOBILISE the limb IMMEDIATELY with a pressure immbolisation bandage.

❌ Do not cut at the site
❌ Do not suck the venom
❌ Do not kill the snake
❌ Do not use a tourniquet

Signs & symptoms of envenomation

🐍 blurred or double vision
🐍 limb weakness or paralysis
🐍 headache
🐍 abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting
🐍 respiratory weakness or cardiac arrest!

An important note for Brown Snakes, the casualty may initially collapse, or become confused followed by a partial or complete recovery - tell emergency service this!

MINDFUL - aware of what is present, here and now. It is to be awake to our immediate experience. It is to ‘take in’ the moment

MINDFULL - to be filled & lost with thoughts. Within a matter of seconds, we could be thinking about dinner, last night’s date, and tomorrow’s meeting.

In this busy world a lot of us spend most of our time mindfull.
Overwhelmed with thinking activity that pulls us away from living here and now.
Being in this state of mindfull we can end up stressed or anxious.

Practicing mindfulness exercises can assist in grounding thoughts, reducing stress & anxiety
