Our hearts feel so full.

There is something incredibly sacred about being invited to walk alongside someone through their pregnancy… to hold space, to nurture, to soothe, and to support them as they move toward their dream birth.

To then be welcomed back in the postpartum chapter — the tender, raw, beautiful unfolding — is an honour Trina at Nurture Holistic Massage and I, never take lightly.

We are so honoured when gorgeous Mumma’s bring gifts, acknowledging our time together; although it’s truly not expected.

These beautiful peonies came with a gorgeous Mumma for her first massage, postpartum. A simple gesture, yet it felt like a profound acknowledgement of the care, presence and love poured into her journey.

To be validated in this work — this heart work — is something we will never stop feeling grateful for.

Thank you to the families who choose us as part of their village.

It is a privilege to support you, here at The Nesting Place on Clairmont; from belly to baby and beyond. 🤍✨

With love
Leah and Trina 🩵💗

✨ The Sacred Pause ✨

A 2.5-hour journey designed to bring you home to yourself.

In the quiet space between doing and being lies a sacred pause — a moment where your nervous system can exhale, your body can soften, and your mind can finally rest.

This deeply restorative ritual combines an intuitive massage, reiki energy balancing and a yoga nidra guided meditation — a nurturing blend that invites stillness, renewal, and reconnection.

It’s more than self-care.
It’s nervous system nourishment — a chance to recalibrate your energy, soothe emotional tension, and restore your natural rhythm of calm.

Step away from the noise.
Breathe.
Return to your centre.

🕊️ The Sacred Pause — 2.5hrs of intuitive, soul-nourishing bliss.
Because you deserve to feel held, balanced, and whole.

Pregnant Mumma’s are supported in the ‘cloud-like’ pregnancy belly pillow.

For any of you needing to see this beautiful reminder. 💔🙏🏻

I understand some of you may have had a different relationship with your mum and please know, I’m sending my heartfelt love and support to you.

For me… this month marks 6 years since losing my beautiful Mum to an aggressive brain tumour… our world changed forever that day and will never be the same… 🥲

We only had 10 short weeks with her after her diagnosis … almost immediately she lost her memory, ability to speak and walk and therefore toilet or shower herself and spent her last weeks/days in Palliative Care… but although many of her faculties were lost to her, there was still a recognition of who we were, particularly my Dad ❤️

Loss doesn’t disappear with time — it weaves itself into the fabric of who you are. Grief softens, it shifts, but it doesn’t leave. Over time, you learn to live alongside it, to make space for it in your days. It becomes less of a wound and more of a companion — a reminder of the love that shaped you.

For those navigating loss and grief, no matter the circumstance. My heart speaks to you with tender care.

🎄🎄NOVEMBER XMAS GIFTING TREE🎄🎄

Hi Beauties

Gorgeous Trina has organised a ‘gifting tree’ for Christmas gift donations to clients of Eva’s Place.

The mums (and families) supported by Eva’s Place are mostly young – teens to early/mid 20’s.

They support them throughout their pregnancy and up until their baby’s first birthday.

Trina and I, the wonderful Staff at Eva’s Place and of course, their besutiful clients; would be so ever so grateful for any donation.

You will find a list with some suggestions and we ask if you could kindly leave them unwrapped and placed in the baskets under our Christmas Tree.

Final gift donation day is 1st December.

Thank you so much for your generosity.

In warmth
Leah & Trina 🙏🏻🎄🧑‍🎄🤶

Massage in the first trimester…

Some Therapists do, utmost respect to them if they are comfortable to do so…

I personally don’t. It’s not because it is out of my scope of work or my level of skill.

This is my why…

In the first trimester, increasing levels of progesterone hormone is what is supporting the function of the pregnancy, until the placenta takes over. Usually the reason why you may experience, nausea (morning or all day sickness), vomiting/HG or headaches and it has disappeared by 16-18wks.

Where is the placenta in comparison to the cervix?

An early dating scan may not be able to determine this. Even the Nuchal Translucency scan done between 12-14wks, may not provide a full picture, but can give a little more information.

The morphology scan, between 18-20+wks can give us a lot more detailed information.

Some ligaments, where the uterus attaches to the sacrum; share tissues with the pelvic floor and cervix.

As a Therapist, I want to know whether the placenta is within close parameters of the cervix, before working too deeply around the sacrum and tailbone.

There are many other reasons relating to high risk pregnancies, too many to list here but I have a pretty concise list on my website. Feel free to have a read.

Am I being over zealous? Maybe… but I won’t compromise on this. I’ve experienced pregnancy loss at 16 wks with a premature rupture of membranes due to cervical weakness. Nothing prepares you for this type of loss.

Your wellbeing matters to me, always.

A little reminder to keep caring for yourself beyond the treatment room…

Whether you’re growing new life or nurturing in the weeks and months after birth, your body is constantly shifting and adjusting — and your massage continues to work gently even after you leave the treatment room 💫

To help avoid any soreness or discomfort, here are a few simple ways to care for yourself post-massage:

🤍 Rest & Hydrate — Slow down, sip plenty of water or herbal tea and let your nervous system stay in that calm, supported state.

🤍 Move Gently — Avoid sudden or heavy movement; instead, walk softly, stretch slowly, and allow your body to realign in its own time.

🤍 Warmth & Comfort — A warm shower or gentle compress can help soothe tender areas. Honour what feels nourishing and safe for you.

🤍 Listen to Your Body — Hormonal changes, postural shifts and the demands of motherhood can make your body more sensitive — it’s okay to rest more than usual.

If you ever have any concerns or discomfort, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Your well-being truly matters to me 🌸

✨ Sips & Soles Ritual ✨

If full body massage isn’t quite for you — perhaps a delicious foot soak and soul-soothing ritual is just what you need.

Begin with a warm, aromatic soak to soften and ground, followed by a Himalayan salt and essential oil infused foot scrub to gently polish and refresh. Melt into a reflexology-based foot massage, releasing tension and restoring balance through the body’s energy pathways.

Complete your ritual with a nourishing herbal tea or infused water, giving yourself a moment of deep rest and calm.

Because sometimes, the smallest ritual brings the deepest exhale. 💫
