The management of West Wimmera Health Service would like to sincerely thank all Natimuk staff for their outstanding efforts during the recent bushfires.

During the Grass Flat bushfire — which travelled 14 kilometres in just 20 minutes and threatened to ignite Natimuk Aged Care Home — staff remained calm, focused and deeply committed to keeping residents safe. Several nearby structures were destroyed, highlighting just how serious the situation was.

In the garden of Natimuk Aged Care Home, a burnt page was later found with a single word still visible:

INDEFATIGABLE

adjective
Always determined and energetic in trying to achieve something and never willing to admit defeat
Synonym: tireless

This word perfectly captures the spirit shown by the Natimuk team — unwavering, resilient and selfless in the face of danger.

Thank you for everything you do, every day, and especially when it matters most.
