Lightening a tattoo before a cover up gives you and your tattoo a lot more freedom when it comes to choosing a new tattoo. Tailored Tattoo Removal is not a clinic, so unlike other laser tattoo removal clinics I am covered in tattoos and know what it’s like to have a few regretful tattoos on me. Therefore I understand what you need to get the best results for a quality cover up. Can all tattoo ink colours be removed?

Not all coloured ink can be removed and some fade at different rates. Darker colours, like black are the easiest to remove because the laser targets them most effectively. Also red can be pretty easy to remove in most cases as well.

Lighter colours, like yellow, green, blue and any pastel shades, can require extra sessions and in some cases can’t be removed at all. Sometimes multiple passes or different laser settings are needed to get the best results.

Every tattoo is unique, so results depend on colour, depth, age of the ink and your body’s response. Patience and consistent sessions are key to achieving the outcome you want.
