Bloating, pelvic pain or changes that don’t feel right shouldn’t be ignored.

Pelvic ultrasound can help identify ovarian changes early, and CT scans may be used to provide a clearer picture when further assessment is required.

Early detection starts with listening to your body and speaking with your GP.

👩‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ We are pleased to welcome Dr Shona Edwards to our radiology team. Dr Edwards is an experienced diagnostic radiologist with a strong background in MRI and a broad range of subspecialty interests.
Dr Edwards completed her medical training at the University of Queensland and undertook her radiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She is currently completing an MRI fellowship at The Wesley Hospital and also works as a Consultant Radiologist at RBWH. Her clinical interests include CT and ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, as well as ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Having grown up on the Sunshine Coast, Dr Edwards is delighted to be returning to the region. We are very pleased to have her join our team and look forward to the expertise and care she brings to our patients and referrers.
