This week, Dr Robinson performed Noosa Hospital’s first Motec total wrist replacement — a significant milestone for advanced orthopaedic care in our region.
The Motec wrist replacement was developed in Europe (Sweden) and has since evolved into a well-established, motion-preserving solution for advanced wrist arthritis. Over time, it has been increasingly adopted in major metropolitan centres across Australia as an alternative to wrist fusion for suitable patients.
🌏 What this means for patients:
People in our region no longer need to travel to capital cities to access world-class wrist joint replacement surgery. State-of-the-art care is now available locally in Noosa.
If you’d like to learn more about Motec wrist replacement or discuss treatment options for wrist arthritis and complex wrist conditions, please get in touch — expert care is now closer to home.
