Happy IWD! Each year there is a slogan that determines the theme for this day. To us, international women’s day is a time to look around at the incredible women we have chosen to surround ourselves with. At O&G we are a true team, with each woman respecting the skills of all others. You also spot a man in there who has championed each of us from the beginning, and often ends meetings with “whatever you girls decide”! We are so proud of what we have created; women working together, to improve the lives of the women we care for.

Today Kylie, Lauren and a bunch of wonderful colleagues were treated to a very special event, the International Women’s Day breakfast hosted by . The incredible Rt. Hon. Dame Jacinda Ardern was the guest speaker, and all there were treated to her magic! Thank you for the invite Juliette 💖💖

Following on in our 2025 Honours & Awards series, the College proudly congratulates Dr Aimee Wiltshire, recipient of the RANZCOG Training Supervisor Award.

Dr Aimee Wiltshire has been awarded the RANZCOG Training Supervisor Award in recognition of her exceptional dedication to trainee support, educational leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence in training.

Since achieving Fellowship in 2014, she has served in multiple key roles, guiding trainees with compassion, integrity, and high standards. Her leadership has been instrumental in supporting trainees facing significant challenges, helping them achieve their fellowship.

👏 Congratulations to Dr Wiltshire, and to all recipients of the 2025 RANZCOG Honours & Awards.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Sarveshinee (Vesh) Pillay to O&G. She has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics & minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Vesh will be seeing gynae patients as of March and started seeing obstetric patients today! Our obstetrics team is particularly excited to welcome Vesh to the group. Keep a lookout for her on our website in the coming weeks. Welcome to the O&G family Vesh! ❤️

Welcome back to 2026 everyone! We have hit the ground running and want to kick off this year with some wonderful news…our darling Lucy is now a Mrs! What was set to be an engagement party on Saturday night, turned into a surprise wedding & we couldn’t be happier for Lucy & Matt! Congratulations lovebirds! Cheers to forever 🥂

Our rooms are now closed so we can enjoy a break with our families. For those coming to see us for antenatal visits next week, we will see you then. For our pregnant people, please contact your booked hospital for any concerns & as always we have an obstetrician on-call 24/7. Enjoy a wonderful Christmas & see you all in 2026! 🤶

Today is World Diabetes Day. A day we highlight the strength and courage of the women we care for with gestational diabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

At O&G, Karen provides dedicated care as both a midwife and diabetes educator, supporting women with gestational diabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes as they navigate pregnancy.

Through pregnancy, birth and beyond, Karen supports women to understand their blood glucose levels, feel confident with monitoring and medications, and make decisions that keep both them and their babies healthy. 💙

Today, and every day, O&G are proud to advocate for better education, better access, and compassionate care for women with diabetes.

Last week was the RANZCOG Annual Scientific Meeting. This year Adelaide hosted this incredible event that brings our obstetrics & gynaecology colleagues from around the country. The ASM is an exciting week of lectures & workshops, talking all things research, clinical updates & the future of women’s health.
We are proud of our O&G team with Kylie, Jane, Aimee, Rachel, Kate & Sally all presenting or chairing at the event.
They then exchanged their scrubs for formal wear at the gala dinner, enjoying food & wine with colleagues at the Town Hall.

We are so proud to announce that our own Aimee Wiltshire has been presented the RANZCOG Training Supervisor Award! Along with her leadership at WCH, her private work at O&G and being an all round wonderful person, she is also committed to training the next generation of obstetricians & gynaecologists. Well done Aimee on this well deserved accolade! The cherry on top was being presented the award by Kylie! 🥳🥳
