We wish to say a huge congratulations to Dr Jane Elliot for her recent recognition by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Jane received the Excellence in Women's Health Award at the recent Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide last week for her significant contributions to Women's Health over many years, particularly in the field of menopause.

RANZCOG recognised her commitment to teaching, research and advocacy and acknowledged that her work has played a pivotal role in strengthening services and resources to support Women's Health across the country.

Several AWARE group members attended the RANZCOG Annual Scientific Meeting this week in Adelaide.

Dr Gemma Hardi, Dr Jess Floreani and Dr Jane Elliot were all in attendance, and Dr. Floreani delivered an incredibly practical presentation on navigating contraceptive use in challenging clinical situations.

We are thrilled that our practitioners at AWARE are committed to remaining up to date across a range of women's health problems and are considered experts in the field by our peers.

Dr Tiffany Brooks (health psychologist at AWARE) has helped with the development of the REST trial (Randomised E-hypnotherapy for Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome trial) to assist people experiencing persistent/chronic pelvic pain.

The trial is currently recruiting individuals experiencing persistent/chronic pelvic pain, to participate in their 7 week free online pelvic pain education and hypnotherapy program.

Persistent/chronic pelvic pain may include a range of conditions including Endometriosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lower Back Pain, Cystitis, Painful Bladder Syndrome, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, etc

WE ARE HIRING: Practice Administrator.

AWARE is a Specialist Gynaecology and Women's Health practice in North Adelaide. We are seeking a Practice Administrator who will be an integral part of our friendly and dynamic team.

The person we are looking for should genuinely enjoy delivering outstanding customer service, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

This is a full time contract for seven months to cover maternity leave, with a view of extension depending on circumstances.

The role includes scheduling appointments, responding to phone calls, directing patient enquiries appropriately, organising correspondence, invoicing and receipting patient services and end-of-day banking. Accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency and confidentiality are essential. The suitable candidate must have sound computer skills.
