BUDERIM FOUNDATION BREAKS RECORD FOR ANNUAL COMMUNITY GRANTS WITH OVER $126K AWARDED πŸ™Œ

We are absolutely delighted to announce that community projects including animal rescue, youth development, emergency response and education are to share in more than $126,000 from our 2025 Community Grants Program πŸ₯³

It’s a record for the Buderim Foundation and set to be a game changer for our community!

Here’s some facts about our 2025 grants you should know:

πŸ‘‰ We are proud to support 24 different community organisations this year
πŸ‘‰ Our 2025 round of community grants amounts awards $126,366 to local organisations in need
πŸ‘‰ Since the first grants were provided in 2008, we have distributed 268 Buderim community grants
πŸ‘‰ Our 2025 grants will support projects relating to eight areas of interest, including those which seek to strengthen the fabric of the community, help residents live healthy and fulfilling lives and protect and preserve our natural environment.
πŸ‘‰ We have distributed a total of $1,076,397 in grants over time to 110 community organisations supporting the wider Buderim community
πŸ‘‰ The grants will make a big difference to the lives of many in our community, enabling the purchase of much-needed (and in some cases life-saving!) equipment
πŸ‘‰ The grants will also finance vital infrastructure, supporting a wide range of people in our community including youth, the elderly, those in emergency situations, poverty-stricken families, the disabled, and more

We look forward to sharing more about Buderim Foundation Community Grant recipients over the coming days and weeks, but please LIKE and SHARE this post to help spread the word! πŸ‘β€οΈ

The Community Grants announced today are in addition to grants from the Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund, established by philanthropists Roy and Nola Thompson, which since April 2021 has provided over $1.8 million to support people experiencing homelessness and financial distress across the whole Sunshine Coast.

If one thing is clear, it’s that community has never meant more, and philanthropy is as alive as ever in Buderim and surrounds πŸ₯°

OUR STORY

SCRDA is a not-for-profit organisation providing equine-based therapeutic, recreational and community participation riding and driving programs for all members of the disability community on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who assist with these programs to allow the participants to enjoy their activities in a safe and controlled manner. Along with the volunteers, we also have a team of hard-working horses who are specially selected and trained to allow the participants to enjoy and develop their skills in a safe environment. Many of these horses are specifically trained and assessed for particular roles to allow them to provide the unique services of the programs.

We are an independent RDA centre.
