What an awesome hike we did today to finish our Hike and Bike, Bright weekend.

Starting at Mount Buffalo Chalet we headed off down the track to Lake Catani. Admiring the serenity of the lake we continued on up through The Gorge until we got to the Chalwell Galleries.

Wow, we all looked up at the large granite rock formations. The shock on some faces said it all. We needed to climb our way over large boulders and through a very narrow passage.

In single file we boosted, pulled and helped each other through the challenging crevice supporting each other.

There was immense relief when we finally popped our heads from darkness through a small gap in the rocks to soak up the sunshine. What an amazing achievement for everyone.

There’s something special about hiking together and this 7km hike certainly challenged a few of us and took us out of our comfort zones.
Teamwork on a hike isn’t loud or flashy but a simple hand when sections get tough, a short pause to ensure no one is left behind or words of encouragement when things get tough.

When we support each other on the hike, the views at the top feel richer, not because of where we are but because we all got there together🌸

We arrived in Bright Friday afternoon with perfect weather to start our Hike and Bike weekend.

We spent the afternoon by the pool before enjoying a lovely dinner at The Bright Brewery.

Saturday we set off on our guided e-bike tour to Harrietville with Amy from All - Terrain cycles.

We cruised along the rail trail with the Ovens River sparkling alongside. Gliding along the trail we enjoyed the sounds of the birds, the views of the mountains and the wind in our faces. The gentle hum of our bikes made riding effortless as we tackled the incline to Harrietville where we enjoyed lunch before returning along the same trail back to Bright.

It was a great turn out for our first adventure back for 2026.

Meeting in Anglesea we car pooled 27 women back to Point Addis where we started our walk.

We enjoyed fresh coastal air, walked on a sandy beach, admired the rugged cliffs and endless blue sea with stunning views that stretched as far as the eye could see.

We walked and talked our way back to Anglesea , catching up with old friends and new.

Want to try something different? Join us for Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga on St Kilda Beach.

Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga is practicing yoga poses on a paddle board in calm water, blending yoga’s benefits with paddle boardings connection to nature, challenging balance, and strengthening core muscles in a relaxed outdoor setting. It involves anchoring boards and moving through poses like Cat/Cow, twists and Downward Dog with modifications for all levels.

We are back for 2026 ladies! We always start the year with a social walk and breakfast. So come along and join us on Sunday 1st February as we walk from Point Addis to Anglesea where we will enjoy a bacon and egg roll as we catch up with old and new friends.

Come and join us on our first Adventure for 2026. Meeting at the playground next to the Anglesea Bowls Club we will leave our cars here and car pool back to the start of our hike at Point Addis.

There will be sections of beach walking, some hills and steps as we follow the Surfcoast Walk for approximately 9km back to Anglesea.

Our first hike of the year is a social walk so there will be plenty of time to catch up with friends, old and new. On arrival in Anglesea we will enjoy a breakfast of bacon and egg rolls.

Who knew our end-of-year break-up would turn into a full-blown boot-scootin’ showdown? 🤠💃 We swapped lycra for cowboy boots and there was no stopping us. Lead by Edward from Neon Cowboy Boot scooters we did spins, stomps, and even a few creative “interpretations,” of our own. We had enough laughter to power the whole dance floor. Nothing says team spirit like a roomful of ladies trying to stay in sync and loving every second of it!

Here’s to finishing the year with fun, friends, and a little bit of country flair.

Get your boots tapping and your hips swinging ladies- it’s time for the 2025 W.I.N.E Adventure Break-up, a fun filled afternoon of line dancing. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or stepping onto the floor for the first time, this afternoon is sure to be filled with lots of toe tapping and laughter.

We will enjoy a line dancing class taught by Neon Cowboy Bootscooters from 1-3pm followed by some music tunes to keep us on the dance floor.

So bring your boots, hats and your best moves and get ready for an afternoon of all things Country.

What is included:

2 hour line dance class conducted by Neon Cowboy Bootscooters

It was such a peaceful morning out on the Barwon River as we enjoyed our kayak adventure with Jay from Outside Adventures!

We enjoyed calm water, lots of birdlife, and a peaceful feeling you only get while paddling in such a serene environment. Some light showers didn’t stop us as we paddled under the Queens Park Bridge, past the golf course and admired all the beautiful houses high up on the hills.

We paddled to the confluence of the Barwon and Moorabool Rivers before we turned around and headed back to the boat ramp.
