Female vs Male 😯 look at her bedraggled condition, with all the missing hairs from her thorax. And the male, fresh as a daisy.

This pair perfectly demonstrates the hard-working female native bee and her biological, evolutionary drive to tirelessly nest to secure the next generation.

The missing hairs on her thorax is most likely from the wear & tear of digging her ground nest and then the continuous entering and exiting as she lays eggs and then stores food provisions for her offspring to eat when they hatch.

The perfect male... well, life is a bit easier for the boys. You seek a female, mate if you're lucky, then live out your days chasing after girls or chasing off the boys, eating (pollinating Tracy's tomatoes) and roosting overnight together with your mates you chased off earlier in the day 🤪😂

Well, those who know me would understand that to find the roosting spot of not one but FOURTEEN blue banded bees on New Year's early morning garden wander is the BEST way to begin a brand new year 🌟✨️ Happy New Year folks 🧚🐝🏵 May your 2026 bee filled with an abundance of all the things you love.

The stunning Feverfew. Made for my apothecary to mostly assist with migraine prevention. However, my favourite folklore usage is as a cure for "elf-shot," a folk ailment caused by invisible arrows from elves 🧝‍♀️🤩

The vibrational buzz of unconditional love finally emerged in my garden today. We heard and then saw the first Blue Banded Bee for the season buzzing around & enjoying the nectar in the abundant Hot Lips salvia flowers ❤️🤍

My calendula. They are the living embodiment of the vitality of my Healing Garden 🌼🙏🏼🌏 Gratitude for an afternoon sitting in the warm Spring sunshine, breathing the air rich in floral notes and surrounded by insects as I pick sticky calendula flowers that are held within my Great Grandma's harvest basket 😍

My Story

Hi! I would love to take this space to connect to the heart of my work and give a little summary of the wholeness, instead of the little pieces most posts display. 🐸 🌿 I am Tracy, the naturopath and creator of Green Tree Naturopathy.

🌿As my business name and logo suggest, I am as equally passionate about promoting sustainable living and ways to garden intelligently to care for our planet, as I am about my natural medicine practice.

🌿 My clinic is on a peaceful 5 acres within the rammed earth ecohome my husband and I owner built together in 2009. We've been slowly creating our sustainable living dream since 2005, which is something we've been manifesting since 1999.

🌿 Since our near bare paddock beginnings here in 2005, our dedication to holistically heal and nurture our land - (the tiny patch of Mother Earth we are now guardian of) - has resulted in a garden that's healthy, happy and healed on a physical and energetic level. Planting with the intention to heal the ecosystems and support all biodiversity has come full circle. Our land now grows the most dynamic, powerful plant medicines to holistically heal us.

🌿I've worked in the health industry since 1996 starting in pharmacy and as a Naturopath since 2002. I offer a truly holistic approach to your health ~ combining the Wise Woman traditions of herbalism, flower essences and nourishing foods as medicine, with a strong focus on gut function and microbiome health.

🌿During consultations I take the time to understand your current and past health as well as explore any emotional blockages or thought patterns that may be contributing to the symptoms you’re experiencing. Any recommendations, herbal formulas or flower essences are made uniquely for you, and are made with thoughtfulness, intuition and compassion.

🌿With my clinic focus of improving gut health, I have developed and run regular fermenting workshops to teach people how easy it is to make your own fermented foods and drinks like kombucha, sauerkraut, beet kvass and more.

🌿I am a passionate public speaker and run many workshops on the ways in which we can improve our health and the health of our ecosystems including; creating healing gardens, plant spirit medicines, bee gardens, native bee hotels, herbal apothecary’s and more.

🌿I am completely in love with bees, especially our native bees & I've been dedicated to increasing the awareness of them and how to care for them in our gardens since 2013. With deep reverence and shamanic guidance by the bees I have created a range of flower essences called Bee Priestess Essences. These essences are gifted to us by the Bee Goddess, who is helping us achieve the level of healing required to enable us to step forward and heal our planet.
