Hey friends ππΌ I'm running again for local (grassroots) government β€οΈππΌπ I'm proud to have served my wonderful community as an elected member for the last 4 years, as well as being our Shire President this year.
I'm popping my face up, especially for local followers, to say I am still a practising naturopath and I continue to grow & create medicines from my patch and nurture all the backyard biodiversity as my extended family. My stewardship focus on some days now wraps around my whole Shire, and I absolutely love this aspect π
It's a vulnerable thing to put yourself out there for scrutiny and a popularity vote, but right now, for me, it just feels right. I'll let you know towards the end of October if I'm successfully re-elected.
And sharing this quote that always inspires me ππΌβ€οΈ
"Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach...One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times"

Here we are.... have a little scroll to see the changes. I'm so in love with this patch. Starting with (1) today which is 2yrs on from creating this little frog pond & habitat, (2) how it looked 1 year ago, (3) when it was first finished and (4) lastly, the before picture when it was just a weedy mess ππΈπΏ
This winter, the Ticking, Western Banjo & Quacking frogs joined the Motorbike frogs. The water still has boatman, water diving beetles and dragonfly and damselfly larvae. The water plants now cover 3/4 of the surface creating protection & spots to lay eggs. The surrounding plants are a combination of endemics from our local community nursery, natives, herbs and flowering perennials.
There are rock piles for lizards, hollow logs and a bog for frogs, and even more flowers galore for pollinators and birds.
And this spot nurtures us, too β¨οΈ

Hi! I would love to take this space to connect to the heart of my work and give a little summary of the wholeness, instead of the little pieces most posts display.
πΈ πΏ
I am Tracy, the naturopath and creator of Green Tree Naturopathy.
πΏAs my business name and logo suggest, I am as equally passionate about promoting sustainable living and ways to garden intelligently to care for our planet, as I am about my natural medicine practice.
ββπΏ My clinic is on a peaceful 5 acres within the rammed earth ecohome my husband and I owner built together in 2009. We've been slowly creating our sustainable living dream since 2005, which is something we've been manifesting since 1999.
πΏ Since our near bare paddock beginnings here in 2005, our dedication to holistically heal and nurture our land - (the tiny patch of Mother Earth we are now guardian of) - has resulted in a garden that's healthy, happy and healed on a physical and energetic level. Planting with the intention to heal the ecosystems and support all biodiversity has come full circle. Our land now grows the most dynamic, powerful plant medicines to holistically heal us.
πΏI've worked in the health industry since 1996 starting in pharmacy and as a Naturopath since 2002. I offer a truly holistic approach to your health ~ combining the Wise Woman traditions of herbalism, flower essences and nourishing foods as medicine, with a strong focus on gut function and microbiome health.
πΏDuring consultations I take the time to understand your current and past health as well as explore any emotional blockages or thought patterns that may be contributing to the symptoms youβre experiencing. Any recommendations, herbal formulas or flower essences are made uniquely for you, and are made with thoughtfulness, intuition and compassion.
πΏWith my clinic focus of improving gut health, I have developed and run regular fermenting workshops to teach people how easy it is to make your own fermented foods and drinks like kombucha, sauerkraut, beet kvass and more.
πΏI am a passionate public speaker and run many workshops on the ways in which we can improve our health and the health of our ecosystems including; creating healing gardens, plant spirit medicines, bee gardens, native bee hotels, herbal apothecaryβs and more.
πΏI am completely in love with bees, especially our native bees & I've been dedicated to increasing the awareness of them and how to care for them in our gardens since 2013. With deep reverence and shamanic guidance by the bees I have created a range of flower essences called Bee Priestess Essences. These essences are gifted to us by the Bee Goddess, who is helping us achieve the level of healing required to enable us to step forward and heal our planet.
πΏπIn a nutshell I am devoted to the land, the plants and the people ππΏ
