I used to think happiness was something I had to earn.
That once I reached a certain point: the right person, the next job, the dream holiday, the right balance, I’d finally feel it.
But happiness isn’t something you chase or remember.
It’s what happens when you stop running.
When you actually pause long enough to feel the sun on your face, the breath in your chest, the quiet in your heart.
It’s being present, fully here, without needing to fix or prove anything.
It’s noticing the simple things that hold you steady when everything else feels uncertain.
It’s gratitude, not as an idea, but as a moment that fills your whole being.
These days, happiness feels softer.
Less like a high, more like a calm knowing.
It’s not out there waiting for me.
It’s right here, in this breath, in this heartbeat, in this version of me.
💛 Maybe it’s right there for you too, in this very moment, if you just pause long enough to feel it.
