For all foot problems we have a team here to attend to your needs. Gait Way Podiatry has been taking care of the feet and podiatric needs of local residents since opening in January 2009. At Gait Way Podiatry we have a team of highly experienced podiatrists who can aid in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a wide range of foot and ankle problems. Our podiatrists have over 30 years experience in varied fields of podiatric care. We use the latest diagnostic tools and techniques to prescribe successful management plans to our patients. As well as offering Podiatry treatment; we also stock a range of supportive and comfortable footwear.

Josh completed his Bachelor of Podiatry at QUT and brings a strong passion for foot health, biomechanics, and helping people move comfortably and confidently.

Before becoming a podiatrist, Josh spent 7+ years at Rebel Sport, honing his knowledge of footwear and perfecting the art of finding the right fit โ€” experience he now brings directly into his clinical care.

Curious, committed, and always striving to learn, Josh is driven to deliver exceptional patient experiences and positive outcomes.

When it comes to school shoe shopping time, ensure you go armed with the knowledge and everything you need to pick the right shoes for your child.

Childrenโ€™s feet grow on average 1-2 sizes per year, so itโ€™s important to have their feet measured before buying new shoes. Always have the shoes fitted for both length and width.

Bring their school socks to make sure the shoes fit comfortably, and try shoes on at the end of the day to account for the natural swelling that occurs throughout the day.

Look for a shoe that has cushioning. Childrenโ€™s shoes should have a removable arch liner, making it easy to replace the liner with custom orthotics if theyโ€™re needed. A cushioned heel will absorb shock and protect their young joints.

Toenail length can affect the shoe comfort and fit, so keep your childโ€™s toenails trimmed.

If your child wears orthotics, bring them when trying on shoes to ensure there is sufficient depth to fit the orthotics comfortably.

Our Story

Gait Way Podiatry has been taking care of the feet and podiatric needs of local residents since opening in January 2009. At Gait Way Podiatry we have a team of highly experienced podiatrists who can aid in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a wide range of foot and ankle problems. Our podiatrists have over 50 years experience in varied fields of podiatric care. We use the latest diagnostic tools and techniques to prescribe successful management plans to our patients. All of our orthotics are milled on-site using our state of the art milling machine and can be ready within one hour.

We have a Bulk Billing Podiatrist. We offer Shockwave therapy for non-invasive pain relief and Laser therapy for fungal nail infections. We also have a on-site fully qualified Nail Clinician providing Manicures and Pedicures, in a hygienic and sterile environment, in the Gait Way Pamper Parlour.

As well as offering Podiatry treatment; we also perform Nail Surgeries, Annual Diabetic Assessments, Orthotics, Moon boots, and we stock a wide range of supportive and comfortable footwear and thongs.
