Free Flu Vaccination Clinic 💜
For the convenience of our community, Sesame Lane will be hosting Flu Vaccination Clinics across our services in 2026.
Families and community members are welcome to book their influenza vaccination, with the booking link in the first comment.
These clinics are designed to make it easy for local families and educators to stay protected and keep our community healthy, especially those who may be more vulnerable.
Please note that the nurse is unable to administer influenza vaccines to children.
Sometimes community care is beautifully simple. A quick booking, a tiny jab, and a healthier winter for the people around us.

To do our part in Clean Up Australia Day, our kindergarten children went down to the park to pick up rubbish.
To their surprise, they had a visitor from the local garage truck 🛻 which reinforced our great community connection.
Ensuring the safety 👷🏼♀️of children, our kindy teachers conducted a risk assessment, permission forms and thorough check of the environment.
All children were provided gloves 🧤 to use during the activity to ensure the safety of their bodies.
The children also explored road safety during the excursion by staying with their buddy and looking before crossing the road safely.
A small helping hand makes a big difference 🌏🤍🩵💚

This month we were so delighted in welcoming Sharon Armstrong from Green Heart Consultancy to visit our centre for mentoring and professional conversations with both our families and educators.
We have a long standing relationship with Sharon who is a child health and development expert with a wide range of experience.
These visits are great opportunities for the Astley team to discuss topics within their space and give guidance/information to our families.

Sesame Lane North Lakes Astley Parade is a unique 2 story Service conveniently situated along side of Supa IGA and United Medical Centres North Lakes. We are in a well situated position within the community of North Lakes and in easy distance of the new North Lakes station.
From the time our Service opened in 2013 we have become a great part of our local community and are always seeking involvement that will strengthen our presence and community relationships. We encourage all children and families to become a part of our Service and local community each and every day, by holding events and special gatherings designed to support our children’s sense of belonging and our family’s community ties.
Our Service provides learning environments that encourage and inspire learning early as the first 5 years of a child’s life are the most important to their growth and development. Throughout each day the children have opportunities to experience a play based curriculum which parents, families and visitors are welcome to join in on and participate. Our doors are always open.
Our Children’s Cook regularly provides both group and one-on-one cooking experiences with our children which encourages involvement in their own well-being by preparing and trying new foods and making healthy food choices; a great habit children will carry with them as they grow.
Our qualified Teacher, Lead Educators and Educators are trained, mentored and inspired by Sesame Lane’s professional development programs. It’s our promise that each day we will inspire all children to become Happy Healthy Learners, not just for their early years, but to develop a love of learning which will last them a lifetime.
Our Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program is supported by our Bachelor qualified Teacher to ensure that each child is prepared to the best of their own ability in learning the social and academic skills they’ll need when they take the leap to “big school”.
