This Easter Monday, join us for something a little different 🤍

Yoga with Props with Colleen

Rooted in the teachings of the Iyengar method, this practice uses props like blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets to support the body in each posture.

But props aren’t there to make things “easier”… They allow you to:
explore alignment with clarity, to stay longer in poses without strain and experience the practice in a deeper, more supported way.

Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this class meets you exactly where you are.

Think of it as an intentional way to move… where the body is supported, and the mind can soften.

Easter Monday

"The Autumn Movemen Project"

A little extra motivation to roll out your mat this season 👀

Every time you come to class, you add your name to the draw. That’s it. Simple.

And… we’ve got some pretty fun prizes up for grabs:
✨ Metta Breath Workshop Pass
🌿 Earth Side Wellness Pack
🧘‍♀️ Liforme Majestic Rug Mat

We’ll be drawing a winner for each prize so the more you show up, the more chances you have.

Bring a friend? You both get bonus entries 😉

First time at the studio? You’re in with extra chances too.

No pressure. No need to be “good” at yoga.

Just come, move, and be part of it.

Have you been curious to learn Ashtanga Yoga?

The Ashtanga Primary Series is the foundational sequence in Ashtanga Yoga.

The series is designed to purify and strengthen the body.

You will benefit from:
- calming the mind
- draw upon the bandhas (internal energy valves)
- utilise the ujjayi breathing (sound breathing)
- learn asana (specialised sequencing),
- focus on drishti (a focused point of gaze)
- and vinyasa (the precise alignment of breath and
movement).

It is a dynamic and flowing sequence of postures linked to the breath through vinyasas.

The series begins with sun salutations, followed by standing poses, seated poses, twists, and backbends, concluding with finishing postures. The series can be modified but the sequences remain the same.

Two hours may seem like a lengthy time to be on the mat but you will be pleasantly surprised how quickly this time passes through immersion of the class.

The class will offer opportunity to ask questions and be broken down to allow for support and guidance. Limited spots available. bookings: https://book.squareup.com/classes/hycjm4bzi2du0l/location/LFTGD8TX00SN3/classDetails/clssch_97pihrz7z1w5ex?dateStart=1775250000

I wanted to share something a little personal, not yoga related.

On the 2nd of April is World Autism Awareness Day, a day to bring understanding, acceptance and support to people with autism and their families.

One thing I’ve learned is that autism doesn’t look the same for everyone, that’s why is called a spectrum.

Some people have very visible challenges and others, like my son Luca, might look like any other human running around, playing and going to school, but behind the scenes, there can be a lot going on.

Autism is simply a different way of experiencing the world and life. It can affect communication, emotions, sensory processing and how someone connects with others.

Like many families, we’ve had challenges, but we’ve also been very lucky to have incredible support which has made such a difference for him.

I’m sharing this here to bring a little awareness and hoping that next time you see a child crying, having a meltdown or behaving differently at the shopping center, please try not to judge or give death stares at the parent. You never really know what that child or family might be going through.

Balance Club Yoga has always been about community and sometimes community simply means feeling understood.

If you’d like to learn more about autism or find helpful resources, you can visit Autism Awareness Australia.
