The beauty of blossoms reminds us that life continues to unfold - quietly, gently, and with grace. 🌷

Even in times of stillness or sorrow, nature shows us that renewal is always possible. Each bloom, each soft petal, speaks of resilience, of finding colour again after the grey. In grief, too, there are moments of light that return, reminding us that love and life endure in their own quiet ways.

Is there a flower or tree that sparks joy for you??

Tune in to SEN 1116 this Sunday morning at 10am for This is Your Journey as Sam Edmund catches up with former Australian fast bowler – Doug Bollinger.

Doug Bollinger’s journey in elite cricket began in the early 2000s, rising through the ranks of New South Wales with his natural pace, bounce, and competitive spirit. A left-arm quick known for his wholehearted approach, Bollinger quickly became a crowd favourite and one of the most reliable strike bowlers in domestic cricket.

His international career took flight in 2009, where he made an immediate impact across all formats. Bollinger played 12 Tests, 39 One Day Internationals and 9 T20 Internationals for Australia, claiming more than 100 wickets for his country. Highlights included a devastating Test debut at Sydney and a series of match-defining ODI spells, with his relentless accuracy and aggression proving vital during Australia’s dominant run in the late 2000s.

Beyond his national duties, Bollinger was a standout in the Indian Premier League, particularly with the Chennai Super Kings, where he became instrumental in their title campaigns. His performances in the IPL cemented his reputation as one of the most effective and adaptable fast bowlers in world T20 cricket.

Since hanging up the boots, Bollinger has continued to contribute to the game through coaching, mentoring, and media, bringing the same enthusiasm and authenticity that defined his playing days. His insights, sense of humour, and deep love for cricket continue to resonate with fans and aspiring players alike.

Listen in on Sunday at 10am, to celebrate the life and career of one of Australian cricket’s most spirited and memorable fast bowlers.

Read it again - out loud if you need to.

"I am not alone, even when it feels like it. Love surrounds me still."

If you’re missing someone today, be gentle with yourself. Love lingers in the small moments; a favourite song, a shared joke, a warm patch of morning sun. You are held, even in the quiet.

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who served, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we honour their courage, their devotion, and their enduring legacy of peace.

As we reflect, may we also remember the families who carried the weight of loss, and those who continue to serve our nation with the same spirit of commitment and compassion.

Lest we forget.

Greg Chappell’s remarkable cricket journey began in the 1960s, growing up in a family deeply connected to the sport. Making his Test debut for Australia in 1970, Greg quickly established himself as one of the finest batsmen of his generation, renowned for his elegant stroke play and unflappable temperament at the crease.

Over a stellar international career spanning more than 13 years, Greg played 87 Test matches, amassing over 7,000 runs at an average of 53.86. He captained Australia in 48 Tests, leading with poise and precision, and became the first player in history to score a century in both his first and last Test matches. Alongside brothers Ian and Trevor, Greg formed part of one of cricket’s most famous sporting families.

He served as Australia’s national selector and head coach, nurturing the next generation of Australian talent and contributing to the country’s sustained dominance in world cricket.

Away from the pitch, Greg’s commitment to giving back is equally impressive. Through the Greg Chappell Foundation, he works to support homeless and vulnerable Australians, using his platform to create meaningful change in the community.
