After a combined total of 76 years in General Practice, Dr Simon Devlin and Dr Jonathan Hoar have both retired from GP consulting as of December 2024.

After 8 months of repairs, we are happy to announce that our main treatment room is back up and running!

For appointments that require a nurse, please arrive in the building where you will be seeing a doctor. If you are unsure, please ask one of our receptionists at the front counter, who will be able to direct you to the correct building.

Dr Santoso and Dr Browne are both happy to be working from their regular consulting rooms again.

Thank you to everyone who was inconvenienced during this process for your patience.

Soon we will be opening our annual Flu Clinic for all current patients at our practice.

WINTER BOOSTERS!

We currently have the Covid 19 Winter Boosters in stock. If you are above the age of 50 it is recommended to have this dose 3 months following your 3rd Covid vaccination/booster. Any one who is 30 and over is able to receive it if they wish, again please ensure it has been a minimum of 3 months since your previous shot. Any earlier than 3 months and our RNs will have to turn you away.
We are currently running Covid vaccination clinics in which you are able to book online via HotDoc. If you have any trouble at all please do not hesitate to contact our reception team on 4423 5991.

Flu Vaccine Clinics - ENDING 31st of May

Good Morning,
Our flu clinics will only be running until the 31st of May. These clinics allow us to vaccinate a large volume of patients per day. If you haven't had your flu vaccine yet, please be sure to book in as soon as possible.
After the 31st of May we will still be administering Flu Shots, however it will need to be organised with a clinic nurse and a doctor to sign off. Structuring it this way does cause delays, so wait times will be longer than booking through the clinic.

“Beyond the Reef” is a memoir of the precipitous highs and lows that Mike and I experienced when we worked as Australian Volunteers Abroad on a tiny tropical island for two years in the late 1980’s with our two very young children. We lived and worked on Aitutaki, in the Cook Islands – a very remote location at the time. As doctors, we had to manage the many medical crises that occurred, with only one other elderly local doctor to share the workload. There were frequent challenges as we attempted to keep people alive long enough to evacuate them on commercial flights, if and when these were available, with a chronic shortage of even the most basic medical resources. Each chapter tells the stories of our connections with the local islanders, while trying to feed ourselves, treat seriously ill patients and finally survive the tragic end to our posting – a potent mix of hilarious, harrowing and, at times, heartbreaking tales. We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures!
